    A different concept....

If it is ideal to start from the beginning reading from Genesis makes sense. However it doesn't make since to ignore the references to Jesus in the OT. So its probably better to start from the gospels and do the NT first.

    The Current State of Christianity

You were wrong when you lumped everyone together in the same boat. Salvation is on an individual basis, and many saints go about their lives without drawing attention to themselves. You will not see them canonized or televised, but they follow the will of the Father and he sees all they do...

    Dream And Vision Interpretation

No I'm not a pastor. When I was there I was powerless and the only victim in the tower at the time. Didn't feel like I was saving anyone, more like I was going to be executed. Like the Jews were when they went into the gas chambers thinking they were showers.

Unable to post, "Choose A Faith"?

I don't see anything wrong with your account. It should work.

    A different concept....

Is that what hes suggesting? I think the idea is to make it so people don't bring their extra biblical baggage with them to the study. I agree about not starting in the middle, for example: Hebrews 13:20 without prior knowledge from reading the gospels you might think Jesus a shepherd of...

    Death Penalty

Even the death of the murderer wouldn't lead to healing.

    A different concept....

How about a group bible study with no presuppositions. The rule for any discussion would be no outside references. You can only quote from what was already stated in the Bible study. Even quoting scriptures would be forbidden if it wasn't done yet in the study.

You mean like abandoning any presuppositions?

    Death Penalty

So the arguement against the death penalty is human dignity? How is life in prison more dignified than being executed?

    I have a question

Yes these are distractions, which have nothing to do with God or his Kingdom. It doesn't matter exactly how it happens, this world is going to be handed over to the Anti-Christ. If we are still here we will be persecuted all the same. Then when Jesus returns all this worldly junk will be...

    Christianity Board Forum Rules

Rule amendment: No flooding the forum. If your post stretches over multiple screens it may be too long. Needing to sift through an essay about someone's theology to figure out their point hinders discussion. Excessively long or successive posts may be subject to deletion at the moderator's...

    Copy & Paste Theology

The sermons are usually short and infrequent. He wouldn't run afoul of this rule.

Right, we still allow copy paste to a degree.

    Copy & Paste Theology

The staff have decided that a rule about copy paste is necessary. But we are making it more general, about flooding the forum. Devotionals are still OK. Posts by most members to date are OK. If you use this forum as a place to dump your collected theological essays, it is not ok. We still...
