If churches are failing, how can they be improved

I would say the same as you, except I don't want to alienate 3/4 of the Christian population.

Why don't you say what you really mean?

If churches are failing, how can they be improved

Jesus has already told His church what to do.. “15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. 16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. 17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods...

For what reason was Jesus to be called the Son of God?

That's an interesting text. We all appreciate the concept of self sacrifice inherent in those words, "I lay down My life", but I think most get it wrong (and I could be added to the most after this) by claiming that the Son raised Himself up from the dead. I disagree with this view, on account...

Where did we get The Bible? - A IN-DEPTH STUDY

Hyperbole is sometimes a good tool to make a point. Not sure I would agree in this instance.

Where did we get The Bible? - A IN-DEPTH STUDY

That's nonsense. Children manage to read Shakespeare and recite his plays in their yearly dramas. If someone has trouble reading the KJV, is likely because they don't read it often enough. I have no issues with it. I can read it aloud in modern English, "translating" or paraphrasing as I go...

Are We in the End Times? How Long Do We Have?

Nebuchadnezzar had a dream. A great statue. Daniel, under urgency, held a prayer meeting. Told the king a great deal of information, but basically, a history of the world, beginning from the kings time and ending with Jesus coming to change the world forever. We are living in the toe nails of...

Choice of doctrine is driven by religious preconception - Spirituality is an individualized journey

Tell you what. I'll give you two titles to help you out. Steps to Christ...The title of the book tells its mission. It points the reader to Jesus Christ as the only one who is able to meet the needs of the soul. It directs the feet of the doubting and halting to the pathway of peace. It leads...

Choice of doctrine is driven by religious preconception - Spirituality is an individualized journey

And so says someone who has never read one of her books, much like who judges an intricate but biblically valid doctrine on the basis of the little he thinks he has learned from those those who oppose it and understand it as little as he does.

Choice of doctrine is driven by religious preconception - Spirituality is an individualized journey

From AI... MY QUESTION...Did Ellen White ever say or write, " Sunday worshippers are of the devil" ANSWER... There is no evidence that Ellen White ever wrote or said the phrase "Sunday worshippers are of the devil." In her writings, Ellen White consistently taught that the seventh-day Sabbath is...

Choice of doctrine is driven by religious preconception - Spirituality is an individualized journey

I beg to suggest that this perhaps may be true for some, but not all. I have changed my denomination twice through learning more of scripture. Those changes were as a direct result of scripture study, rejecting former teaching and accepted understanding, and moving on.

what I learned about oneness pentecostalism

This cannot apply to the incarnation. If Jesus had appeared in all the fullness of the Godhead, everyone in His presence would have died instantly, being overcome by the glory. You have seen what happened to men when confronted by angels... Daniel and John for example... Forced to their knees...

    Making us like our brother

Who said anything about the Trinity? I would be happy to talk about Jewish monotheism. Not that I would necessarily agree with your conclusions, and nor am I willing to surrender my public confession as a Christian. If I said other, and seeing most here know I'm Seventh Day...

Does the Bible contradict itself? - Reader Poll (and discussion)

And yet we also need to take care how far we go with... “20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; 21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that...

SDAs, USA and the End times.

Answer... You are correct—the fight against the Blair Sunday-Rest Bill of 1888 was one of the most significant and organized minority protests against Sunday law legislation in U.S. history, and it had a major influence on public debate and legal thinking about religious liberty. Key Points...
