    God's Just and Merciful Gospel.

What's everlasting here Jack... The fire or those in it? Exactly and precisely my point. Jesus never went to hell. Why? Because they wages of sin isn't hell Jack. It's death. The wages of sin isn't eternal torment Jack, it's death. Jesus paid the correct price. The true price of our...

What does it mean to be Under the Law?

The new covenant does not countenance sin. Or disobedience. Or the setting aside of the laws of God. The grace of God does not excuse sin. Or disobedience. Or the setting aside of the laws of God. The grace of God, and the new covenant, both of which you ought to be grateful for, gives you the...

Friendly Bible Study - participants must agree to Nicene Creed.

Have you considered that your sleep may be less restful because your body is working at digesting your evening meal? Also, could you have less energy during the day because you skip breakfast? Food for thought?

    God's Just and Merciful Gospel.

Gotten a little off track here, perhaps my initial OP was a little too vague or difficult for some folks comprehension. I think it's really simple. The wages of sin is death. In order to be redeemed, a price had to be paid on our behalf. That price was paid by Jesus. What was that price? Death...

Yes, Jesus meant TODAY in his message to the thief on the cross

You fellas would have a more balanced view of scripture if you took into account all scriptures pertaining to the topic... “Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the children of God, being the children of the resurrection. ” Luke 20:36 KJV...

Yes, Jesus meant TODAY in his message to the thief on the cross

No doubt he was thinking of that. And perhaps one or two other texts with the same promise. That doesn't cancel other promises that such a life without death doesn't start until Jesus returns and either we are resurrected, or changed. Changed from mortal to immortal.

    Evidence To Be Seen

Thanks for that. Enjoyed it immensely, it was well put together.

Yes, Jesus meant TODAY in his message to the thief on the cross

Do you mean this... “For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. ” 1 Corinthians 15:53 KJV Unfeigned Bible has already happened,? And I missed it? How did that happen?

Yes, Jesus meant TODAY in his message to the thief on the cross

Your benchmark for "proof" seems somewhat wanting. Why should those guys above get a second chance? And where in scripture does it even suggest such an idea?

From the pen of Ellen White

Ellen White quote on numerous topics. Family, health, finances, missions, church life, individual holiness, politics and prophecy. And much more. For example... "Through Jesus Christ, households are to have blissful harmony and unity, and parents are to live together in peace and love, neither...

Is Total Victory over Sin Possible?

Is there no room for obedience based solely on God's authority? Not for the benefits thereof, like salvation, but obedience simply because God said so?

From the pen of Ellen White

    Yep, that's way over board.

Yes, Jesus meant TODAY in his message to the thief on the cross

I would refer you to post #6. Paradise, heaven, the throne of the Father, the new Jerusalem, are all in the same place. And Jesus went there but not until after the resurrection and after he had spoken to Mary, and before he spoke to Thomas. He didn't go anywhere else. He was dead.

Yes, Jesus meant TODAY in his message to the thief on the cross

All made up. Some truth, some nonsense.

A bit of a mess in the White House.

Mmm. Indeed they did. Vance, Mussolini, and Hitler all Catholic. Trump, Jesuit trained despite his claim to be Presbyterian.

Yes, Jesus meant TODAY in his message to the thief on the cross

If Jesus went anywhere at all while dead according to the scriptures, the other sides argument may be tenable. On the third day, He said to Mary, I am not yet ascended to My Father. Paradise is in heaven where the Father's throne is. “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith...

More on the deity of Christ

Yes, which is why I restricted my post to just 3 points... My church's historic position on the Trinity.... my reluctance to change my nomenclature as to being a Christian, for the simple reason as I said, I fully accept the deity and divinity of Jesus as the Son of God. Which is not dependent...

Is heaven only for Christians? - That's convenient

Certainly Jesus and the Father knew well beforehand what was to befall Jesus during His time here. Including the cross. Hence why it was prophecied by David and Isaiah and numerous others. Yes, they knew, and He came anyway. Such love!!! But that doesn't mean God planned it that way as if all...

More on the deity of Christ

I'm a Christian. There are a few biblical suggestions that denying the name of Christ before men... Well, I'm sure you know the rest. Just not comfortable with saying I'm of another faith other than Christian. I am a Seventh Day Adventist. There are not a few here who would suggest any change in...

Is heaven only for Christians? - That's convenient

Sin and rebellion started in heaven. It was not God's plan. What else was God to do with Lucifer after he threatened to take over the government of heaven if not to give him the opportunity to first prove his rebellion and arguments were worthy? Where better to test his arguments with a race...
