    Are You a Carnal Christian?

Post 39 makes sense. I don't know what you mean by the above. It's like when posting to someone that believes in OSAS and I always get asked HOW MANY SINS TILL ONE IS LOST? That's a silly question IMHO. You're doing the same! Being carnal is NOT characterizing how often and how hard one falls...

    Are You a Carnal Christian?

I think the lady was lauging because she thought the cat was sooooo cute! And so do I !

    Are You a Carnal Christian?

Thanks for posting John. Right. What came to mind is members that will promise up and down that they are not calvinist and yet proclaim, in every post, exactly what calvinism teaches! I have to agree with you that it is not possible to be both Christian and carnal at the same time.

    Are You a Carnal Christian?

Agreed. Paul is actually warning the Corinthians that they do have to mature and stop drinking only milk. This is correct. I know that in the CC the aim is to bring someone into that church.... instead it should be to bring them to Jesus. A major mistake that they make and why their catechism...

It is what it shouldn't be

Yes. True. I agree actually. There is no real PROOF that Jesus resurrected.... all the FACTS would lead to this conclusion. Right. And he'll NEVER obey you and stop jumping on that table! I know because I've always had a cat - this one is 16 years old and I fear he'll be the last one for me...

Is it possible to lose salvation?

Where's my house? Where are my cars? Looks like YOU are the liar.

    Are You a Carnal Christian?

I agree 100%. However, we shouldn't be focusing on the WORD but on its concept. I think the problem lies here. Carnal come from the latin, as you've state, which means MEAT. Meat means our flesh. But our flesh is not what makes us sin... we sin THROUGH the flesh. It's, indeed, our sin nature...

    Are You a Carnal Christian?

Thanks for replying GH. The other member is using the word carnal....I don't use that word. I like SINFUL NATURE...it better explains the carnal. I believe we are BOTH a physical Christian and a Spiritual Christian because we are both physical and spiritual. But isn't our spiritual part...

    WATER BAPTISM CAUSES DIVISIONS

So who makes up NATIONS? Is it not people? Did Jesus instruct the Apostles to go to ALL nations... or only to those that practiced JUDAISM? ALL the Apostles and writers of the NT taught the commandments of the Lord. Not just Paul. Jesus doesn't need Paul to spread His message.... Jesus was...

Is it possible to lose salvation?

Hi CS..... You're making the same promise to @Rightglory that you made to me! How many houses and cars do you have anyway?? I'm still waiting for you to send me the house and cars you promised me! Sure hope Rightglory doesn't fall for your scam. Let me put this mildly, since you sure have...

ARE THE OT AND THE NT INSPIRED?

Jesus taught. This requires inspiration? Jesus' teachings are history. I've been thinking about what in the NT (besides Revelation) could be inspired scripture. I'm just having difficulty coming up with a reply. I wish more members would have posted here.... I've just never considered this...

Is it possible to lose salvation?

Because scripture does not confirm what the other member believes. So we have OPINION and insults instead.

Is it possible to lose salvation?

You're asking for verses where PAUL states that there are conditions to our salvation or That salvation can be forfeited? Here they are since Jesus is not good enough for you rvmb: I'm not posting Hebrews although it was most probably written by a student of Paul...

It is what it shouldn't be

This is interesting Wrangler. Didn't mean to carry it this far. Could you speak to this? I don't claim to be knowledgeable on this.... IS evidence a matter of fact? (as you stated). Can you be SURE your cat drank from your glass? Here's another example: Someone gets mugged on a street. I...

    Are You a Carnal Christian?

There's a discussion between @Biblica and myself on a different thread. He uses the expression: Carnal Christian I'm of the opinion that there's no such person as a Carnal Christian. Paul said: Galatians 5:17 17For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the...

    The Color of Righteousness

OK...this goes back to what I was saying in a previous post. We are all carnal when we come to God. The point that both Jesus and John make is that we cannot remain that way. This is why Paul is warning the Corinthians....telling them that they cannot REMAIN babes in Christ. Jesus said that...

It is what it shouldn't be

Who's going to bed... Who's having a beer... I think I'll have myself a shot of Bailey's Irish Cream! A Christmas treat. Is this a sin? I sure hope not.

Is it possible to lose salvation?

rvmb If @walter posted scripture the way YOU do...there would not be much to talk about. Please post SCRIPTURE,,,,chapter and verse -written out like it's supposed to be.... to make your point so that others could reply to you without having the NT in front of them. You mentioned Acts 9:15...

It is what it shouldn't be

Is a witness PROOF or Is a witness EVIDENCE? I believe it's evidence if I remember correctly. IOW, if I testify against someone, I am giving witness... but I cannot PROVE that the person committed the crime. Correct. Unbelievers seek a standard of proof that does not exist. The other poster...

Is it possible to lose salvation?

Yes sir Fillan. Jesus certainly knew what He was teaching. Let's look at your verse again: John 5:24 Your exact verse from whatever version you're quoting (which really makes no difference) “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will...
