    What's for Dinner?

LOL I didn't know there were 16 beans!! I made broth (chicken soup) the other day. But my granddaughter was here. She's autistic and doesn't ask for much... so when she requested that I cut up some franks and add them... I DID! Two franks... really tiny pieces. Then I added eggs --- Egg...

What is the difference between the gospel to the Jews and the gospel to the gentiles?

This is a problem. I had a thread on this problem. A person is allowed to believe whatever he wishes to believe and still consider himself to be Christian.

ARE THE OT AND THE NT INSPIRED?

The word inspiration has a definite biblical meaning. I've added it to the OP. Inspired means : 1. To animate the mind or emotion. 2. To stimulate and influence. 3. To elicite or create. So you believe even the NT has to be inspired... even though it's writing about historical facts...

ARE THE OT AND THE NT INSPIRED?

But I'm not saying there are faulty paradigms in the NT. I see it as being purely historical. Jesus lived, He taught, He died, He resurrected. Peter and Paul and the others went into the world and taught what Jesus taught them. Does writing about this require inspiration?

ARE THE OT AND THE NT INSPIRED?

But this thread is not about the bible having flaws or not having flaws. The OT is inspired...a lot of it is history but a lot of it is not. For instance, Psalms is most definitely inspired. But Is the story of Ruth inspired? Or is it just historical and thus required no inspiration? Does the...

ARE THE OT AND THE NT INSPIRED?

The NT is basically history with teachings from the Apostles and Paul (and Jesus of course). Why would inspiration be necessary? Inspired means : 1. To animate the mind or emotion. 2. To stimulate and influence. 3. To elicite or create.

ARE THE OT AND THE NT INSPIRED?

I'm sorry I'm not grasping the above. Are you saying that if it was PROVED that the Hebrews never lived in Egypt... we would still be required to believe that they had?

ARE THE OT AND THE NT INSPIRED?

Hi Rasputin, Sorry for the delay in responding. I have to start by saying that we don't seem to agree on what the word INSPIRE means. This thread is not about a word - and I do dislike debating what a word means, but it seems important in this case. You're saying that inspired means that what...

What is the difference between the gospel to the Jews and the gospel to the gentiles?

Actually, no, I do not. I don't follow his threads very much. So, I'm not sure what he believes. My reply to my own question would be that if a person is depending on Jesus to save them,,, and there's some kind of change in their life whereby they live to try to please Him... then whether or...

What is the difference between the gospel to the Jews and the gospel to the gentiles?

Brakelite... Just saw this when posting to a different member. I'd say that it IS important to understand the resurrection..or, at least, accept it. Some believe Jesus was resurrected SPIRITUALLY... I'd go so far as to say that if someone does not believe in the resurrection... they could...

Do you believe in biological evolution?

Well, I listen to a lot of scientists, although I don't udnerstand half of what they say. However, since I was about 12 I wondered what makes the heart beat. Does it begin all by itself? Scientists that are not even Christian are leaving the idea of macroevolution because it cannot be proven...

What is the difference between the gospel to the Jews and the gospel to the gentiles?

What if understanding doctrine never happens?? Is the person still saved??

Is it possible to lose salvation?

Hi CTK,,,, I've been reading such great posts on here lately. More than ususal, I should say. No. 4675 by @LoveYeshua and yours above are excellent! They're practically a complete lesson in salvation history. Although it's not addressed to me,,, I thank you!

What is the difference between the gospel to the Jews and the gospel to the gentiles?

Brakelite... OK,,,but I believe that another gospel does not only include GRACE and FAITH which it would certainly have to.... I believe that teaching a different Jesus is teaching a different gospel. For instance: Is Jesus eternal or created? Did He die for our sins? Do we choose to be saved...

What is the difference between the gospel to the Jews and the gospel to the gentiles?

And from whom did the other Apostles learn the gospel? A "person" other than Jesus?? John stated: 1 John 1:1-5 1 What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life - 2 and the life...

Is it possible to lose salvation?

Re the other poster.... Have you noticed that he never posts scripture? And this from someone that demands it even AFTER it's been supplied to him. Just an interesting fact.
