Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

John 20:31? Why don't some members post scripture???? 31 but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name. I thought I had replied to the above... maybe to another member... THEN... Why don't YOU...

How did the Trinity doctrine develop in the early church?

A lot of the OT is inspired. The NT is history. No inspiration required.

How did the Trinity doctrine develop in the early church?

You're starting a new topic instead of replying to my post no. 1722? And this is a neat trick to get your thread to be longer. Are you in competition with @LoveYeshua ?? LOL

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

I'm happy you posted. You should read my post no. 658 and especially 660... it mirrors what you've stated above. I agree that John 1:1 and John 1:14 are so clear as to make all other scripture unnecessary. But there is a lot more.... but, alas, that gets LOGICALLY explained away too. Seems a...

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

LOL How do you believe John if you don't believe John? Why should I consider anything? John made a statement. He was WITH JESUS for His entire ministry. John is saying that THE WORD (Jesus) was with God and was God. Why do we need to understand it? Do you think we can really understand God...

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

Mono,,, I dislike Reformed/Calvinist theology because I truly believe it teaches a different gospel. BUT I also believe they are Christian. Because they may have their theology incorrect... but they believe in the Christian tenets.

    No Escape : From Hell

Which religion are you speaking of Tazz? When/where did Jesus say beliefs don't matter? I can't think of any scripture regarding this. And WHICH orthodox religion teaches not to obey Christ?

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

So let's think about this...You say- while on earth Jesus was just a man and not a man-god. Aside from the fact that Christianity teaches the hypostatic union... which means that the early Christians taught that Jesus was both man and God... fully man and fully God. Jesus had two natures and...

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

MEN. Correct. And it was MEN that compiled the scriptures. And it took hundreds of years before scripture was declared. Why? Because it had to be determined what would be included in the NT. Different writings kept being discovered...and were being circulated... even those that were not...

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

Sweet comments. They mean nothing. Did I not post scripture? You might want to do the same... since personal opinions don't mean too much.

How did the Trinity doctrine develop in the early church?

So what do John 1:1 mean and John 1:14? Jesus was born w thousand years ago. But He existed in a different FORM before that. As THE WORD. In the beginning was THE WORD and the WORD was WITH GOD and the WORD was GOD. John 1:1 The WORD became flesh and dwelt among us...

Is it possible to lose salvation?

So do you disqualify the rest of scripture? Plus, how about actually posting the scripture?? So, without looking up your verses since I don't have a photographic memory and which you SHOULD have posted them.... Can we remove the following verses from scripture? Matthew 7:21 21 "Not...

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

Here's the problem Wrangler: When I tell someone I'm Christian... they should automatically know what I believe.... I should not also have to state that I believe Jesus is God. It's understood in the statment "I'm Christian". Or, at least, it should be and was till some decided to try to...

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

You must have missed the following - The Son is God: John 20:28 28Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” Titus 2:13 13Waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, There's much more, but the above states clearly that Jesus is God.

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

LOL I've been on flat earth threads. It might have been feasible many years ago. But man has been in orbit and the earth has been seen. The round earth can also be attested to by those that flew the Concord. No more discussion...but let them have their fun. I enjoy the story of Byrd (was it...

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

Here is what a student of John and Peter believed.... He believed Jesus is God. Thus the Trinity was from the beginning... it was just DECLARED true at the Council of Nicea in 325AD. And why? Because there were gnostics and arians teaching what the Apostles did not teach. They were teaching...

Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?

We're not under the Law Mono.... Except for the Moral Law. We're discussing here the definition of a religion. What DEFINES a religion? If I want to be a Buddhist... do I have to believe Buddha existed? Do I have to follow ITS regulations? If I want to be Muslim... do I have to believe God...
