Poor ol' Hank :(

Hey, that's cool!!

You think too much, Joe. And you're way too hard on yourself. Welcome to the club. I think I actually grew up Calvinist and didn't even know it at the time! My people were Southern Baptist and I distinctly remember my father using the phrase: "Them Freewill Baptists." Your words make perfect...

I knew that was Ol' Hank!

Oh, and you're very welcome!

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you, BB, my friend, I've been swamped the last few days with the cares of this life. Now, see, the way you import smileys is to go to a website like this: Angry Smilies - Angry Smileys Then you right-click or tap-and-hold on the image of the smiley...

Well, as I'm sure you have divined by now, I'm a Seventh-day Adventist, so I have been exposed to mainly an Arminian view of assurance but I cannot deny the Lutheran view interests and intrigues me. I feel like there's a great tension among brethren between the degree of human and divine...

Isa 49:24-25 KJV 24 Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? 25 But thus saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save...

Sister, be ye comforted in the LORD and His everlasting arms. Take His Word and make It as if meant for only yourself. I'm honored to pray for you. I was in a situation somewhat similar to that which you describe many years ago. And shortly afterward, I was in a better situation than that for...

You just couldn't be more welcome! I'm going on Facebook to find others to pray for you. God will keep His promises!

Oh, my Father, At the bidding of Your Word, please work and will in our dear brother to do of Your good pleasure by laying aside the besetting use of tobacco, not by might, nor by power but by Your Spirit, for the sake of Your glory and Your only begotten Son, AMEN

@Johann So, concerning assurance, would you say you lean slightly toward a Lutheran understanding?

I did pick up a little German when I was stationed over there in the Air Force. Wir sind die Tramps, Tramps, Tramps von der Pfalz, uns steht das Wasser immer bis zum Hals. Wir machen nichts, nichts, nichts wird getan, uns wird auch nichts abgezog'n. I sang that song in gasthausen for months...

Youbetcha, Brother! They're not much, are they? You can import, but it's a bit of a hassle. Or do you mean you don't care for emojis, in general? I like to play around with text formatting. I'm a bit of a nerd. This color looks a lot like a Ford Thunderbird I once almost bought. lol

That's amazing! Do you actually have Romans 8:3-4 memorized in Xhosa? Or did/do you think in Xhosa and translate to English spontaneously? I've actually always admired people who can speak more than one language.

I'm not convinced anyone can be sure of why Putin is doing this. Russians have several centuries' worth of paranoia about their borders (sometimes for good reason). Many believe he's just decided to wait no longer to make his big mark. And I suppose that if he feels desperate and left with...

I'm not sure supply is as much of a problem as is shipping and logistics.

I forgot about this: And this: I'm afraid I owe you an apology, Sir. It's getting to be an embarrassing habit lately. I'm afraid I haven't been keeping my tongue like choice silver, but rather like a deadly arrow. Again, I'm sorry for my ill-treatment of you. :( I told you I was the poster...

I was actually kind of shocked when they made their move. I thought it would go exactly as it has gone. I didn't quite realize what it would do to the global economy and the European infrastructure, although I'm not too surprised. But Russia has been comparatively free for 30 years now. They...
