There is only one faith, but many denominations. Denominations are splits in the Church. I am not a denominationalist. I want to know from God, the Author, what he means by every verse He wrote; not follow some leader of a split in the Church of Jesus Christ that has no unity with the rest of...

I gave you a Bible study, and you rudely asked me why I was giving you a sermon on sin that in my opinion has everything to do with the Holy Spirit so is in line with the title of the post (without addressing any of the scriptures I gave.) Not growing in the fruit of the Spirit will cause you to...

Let's let the New Covenant tell us about food, then you be show me your scripture for your seemingly acceptance of homosexuality, without contradiction of other scriptures in the New Covenant. 1 Corinthians 6: 12 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. All things are...

The United Methodist Church I attended left the denomination because of the practicing gay bishop that was overseeing them. What do you personally think about that?

It is like the parable of the ten talents, 5 talents and one talent.

I agree and believe Jesus when He said "few there are that find it." What I feel sorry for are those particular denominations that believe ONLY people from their one denomination will be among those few. It all boils down to who Jesus has taken their sin nature away, and they keep themselves. 1...

This thread is about what is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God. Just like the Father is God, and the Son is God. I've already said that. Why have you been insulting multiple times? I have the Holy Spirit and have matured the fruit of the Spirit so have been long-suffering with you, but...

I agree. That is why Jesus died for the whole world, not just for those who accepted His free gift. I don't know if you agree with that; I know other denominations do not which is against what scripture says. You are not that way. I'm sorry, but if there was a reason why we seemed to not accept...

Actually I don't get why this is so important to you. God is everywhere and that is all I need to know.

Do I understand you to say that you do not believe 1 John 3:21? Of course it is about those who are born again as is the rest of 1 John 3, not about a devil worshiper relying on his own conscience.

God is light and there is no darkness in Him. 1 John 1:5-6. He can see into the hearts of every man, but He will not dwell in darkness.

Be back later...

Is that what omnipresent means to you, or are you saying God is not omnipresent? God is Spirit and is everywhere at once, not just sits in heaven and only sees everywhere with His eyes. “Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the Lord.

Jeremiah 23:23-24 “Am I a God who is near,” declares the Lord, “And not a God far off? “Can a man hide himself in hiding places So I do not see him?” declares the Lord. “Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the Lord. Proverbs 15:3 The eyes of the Lord are in every place, Watching...

When the laws of God are written on our hearts in this New Covenant, the heart is our conscience. We need to never go against our conscience that has been super-sensitized by the laws of God. But still we are at first babes. But we grow in knowledge, we don't remain babes. 1 John 3:21-24 21...

God is Spirit and has these attributes. Omnipresent - can be everywhere at once. Omnipotent - is all powerful Omniscient - is all knowing Those are the "glories" Jesus first emptied Himself of when He was the Word of God to become born as a human baby, and then after his ministry was completed...

Matthew 14:26 And when the disciples saw Him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It is a ghost!” And they cried out for fear. Did the Jews believe in ghosts? Do you? Just curious.

I don't think I have to explain what our body is, but this is what I believe about our spirit and soul. 1 Thes. 5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The spirit is...

Adam's spirit, soul and body were immortal until He sinned. And ours are mortal until we are born again and our soul and spirit becomes immortal, but the body of those born again must wait until it too dies and is physically resurrected, changed and puts on immortality.
