Christianity requires fear, guilt, and conformity

You seem to be interested in being right and/or winning an argument rather than in encountering the Truth. The Way to the Truth, God's Truth, I believe, is encountered through the Holy Spirit as a person follows the lead of the Holy Spirit. You apparently have no interest in traveling that...

Christianity requires fear, guilt, and conformity

God is not bound by human logic nor constrained by time. You do not live by faith in God so you miss my point...

Christianity requires fear, guilt, and conformity

More like this... 1co 3:6 I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. 1co 3:7 So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.

Christianity requires fear, guilt, and conformity

The Tree of Life, I believe to be Jesus. Again, we are too far apart on too many things to have an effective discussion. You apparently have faith in things about which I have little or no knowledge. Those things amount to me as faith in men. My faith is in God and His son, Jesus. Have a good day.

Christianity requires fear, guilt, and conformity

We are in disagreement. I stand on Apostle Paul's written words which state in effect that only God gives us any real increase. I won't argue the point and it seems that we are too far apart to accomplish much with discussion. Have a blessed day!

Christianity requires fear, guilt, and conformity

Consider the Spirit being the Blood of Jesus. In the OT especially in the Book of Leviticus it is made clear that life is in the blood, but that is speaking of carnal animals [and people] having physical life. It was a type or shadow of the real Life which was given up in Eden, but brought back...

Christianity requires fear, guilt, and conformity

What is his flesh and what is his blood? For me that of which I partake everyday. Joh 6:55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. Joh 6:56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him Is not his flesh the Word and his blood...

Christianity requires fear, guilt, and conformity

With the ears to hear and the eyes to see of which Jesus spoke, what else would be needed? Where and how does one get these?

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Thanks, since my surgery in November, I haven't felt physically like doing much but I am much improved now. The cold weather slowed down my recovery but Spring is here and so am I. I cannot tolerate the cold, but I am looking forward to those 90+ degree days of summer. My wife will be in with...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Lots of negative events pressing on me since 2018, but each day I must and do press in onto God one more time. Most recently, last Monday on the way to the Cancer Center [45 miles away] for another scan to see if the cancer is all gone. My son-in-law was driving me and my wife in his heavy...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

How many dark places still within you or within me? How much Light? How much of our little speck of earth/dirt is habitable by God as is? Is anyone growing darker? Is anyone growing brighter from the Light of God? Has God ever changed? But man, can he be changed for better or for worse? Can a...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Good verses... Mt 11:15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. Re 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

I agree, but consider the number of dead people [unbelievers] walking around on planet Earth. How blind and deaf they must be... like dead bodies.

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Can a person who has known God walk away from Him? God will not leave us or forsake us but what did Adam and Eve do? Was not the first man Adam a son of God who walked away from God by his own disobedience? Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam...

How are we to reckon ourselves as being dead to sin?

Aye, consider the first death being that of Adam and Eve when they disobeyed God and the dead state of their offspring. Adam and Eve were dead and their children were dead for they were born dead to dead parents. Only when people received the Life that Jesus brought might they be alive to God...
