Dito It takes one to know one Dave...you are quoting me!! :D Take off your dark glasses and enjoying the vision of His Kingdom.

Amen!! Lovely post :)

Well sorry. But you were the one asking about when was the last time we (Charismatics) picked up snakes and drunk poison. Not sure why you said this then if you understood already what it really meant.

Right here. Jude 20 "But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost."

I think you may misunderstand what it is saying here. God would never tell us or anyone to pick up a snake. ( unless like with Moses rod, ) But think of Paul..while going about his business he picked up some sticks and a viper bit him, he just by faith, shook it off into the fire. That is...

That is a bit like saying ...If a person spends time before the Lord, is he edified? Anytime spent with the Lord, allowing Him to flow through us is building us up in our holy faith. 1 Cor 14:3 "But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort."...

Nothing changes the scripture..but...Do all pick us snakes? Do all drink poison? 1 Cor 12 30" Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?" The obvious answer Paul is after is here = NO! all don't. So the scripture where you asked the above...I would answer...

Hey @amadeus I posted mine to you, before I saw that you had opted out of the discussion. I won't mind if you sidestep my post, sidestep or step over it. Or even step on it! :D

Haha! Not sure if that was a positive 'Ping' or a negative ping. :D But either way I liked it!!

Hey there John. As far as I know, no on in the OT had the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. That would include A & E. The anointing came UPON them...He did not dwell within. Plus..in Eden God was just setting His Plan in motion. You know what and how I believe...I do not believe any man's sins...

Proving my point that not every doctrine is "sound" doctrine.

Lovely agree. It is the foundation on what all else is built upon. Christ Himself.

Ah, right. That is where I am having a problem. My problem is people who says- " this is what the bible says"...yet when I read it is is far from what the bible is saying!! Some people twist scripture to fit with what they believe. Yes agree. I agree with the rest of your post but I have...

I almost mentioned the 'love word' in one of the posts...but didn't as it usually leads to someone responding with ..."you are far too liberal" or something like that. So that leads me to ask, if we keep the two great commandment that Jesus left us with. Which as I see as fulfilling all the...

I like your greeting. :) Thank you I am well. I've just got back from having blood tests...and in the last 3 months this is the third time that it has bled all over the place. This time I was shopping after the tests. :( Found blood dripping down my arm. The manager was very kind. I'm on...

Excellent post , and more what I am looking for in this thread .. :)... defining what IS “sound doctrine” specifically . As in the OP it seems to me some add to the bottom line. I’m writing this in the Lab on my phone as I wait for blood tests.. I’ll come back here once Iget home to my...

I like this...it has good points ...never seen Eve as a type of the Church. ( under testing and proving...) I do not believe all of 'the church' becomes the Bride. Those without spot and wrinkle. As I look 'out there', I see the church

Thank you. How do we "check out" when people give arguments ( like on the site here) and call it sound doctrine. It is seeming to me that in every argument I read in threads, is argued "this is God word and sound doctrine." In that which I have 'bolded' from your quote , how can we know which...

@Rollo Tamasi I would say 1) don't "do" anything ...just listen to the Lord , He will lead you. Or 2) Yes, start a home Church...have you thought of that? Maybe that is what the Lord is trying to show you/ Back in our early days , we started a home church with one other couple...within 5...

Rollo where on earth have you been all my life... So glad to see you..PLEASE stay around...please don't run off again.
