An unnecessary implication, and not from me. The very first major falling away in Christian history took place in Rome when the bishops of Rome stepped up to the vacant throne of the Caesars and took over the Civic duties and embraced the political power of the Empire. Over the ensuing...

Trump's theology seems to be the same as Christian Nationalism. In other words, evangelical Christianity and so called Pentecostalism are no longer in a position to fully trust God to establish righteousness and truth in the nation, therefore they must turn to politics and establish...

And I can quite truthfully and sincerely declare the same. But in preaching to others, you take such things several steps further. You add to that testimony declarations that are illogical and in your fear of what you call boasting, have brought dishonor upon the character of God to the point...

Mmmm. Even despite the fact that Pepin used the forgery to justify the theft of land on behalf of the papacy. This was in the 8th century, and was republished numerous times since. And despite the fact that the donation was a part of Gratian's contribution to Canon law 600 years later. And...

So you don't believe Satan is a real living personal being, a fallen angel, who hates Jesus with a vengeance and was the prime cause of the fall of mankind?

I agree. This world is utterly unique due solely to the magnificent grace and love of God manifested in the sacrifice of Jesus. I believe a party of our future will entail sharing that one self sacrificial aspect of God's character that will be unknown and not ever experienced by those who had...

That goes for you. Your own Calvinistic belief system was given to you by God to humble yourself when He reveals to you the truth. According to your own teaching.

Has Phoneman chosen his "works based belief system" or did God give it to him?

Since when has anyone boasted of their ability to open a free gift?

Aren't they free to believe in free will? Or did God exercise His free will in making them to believe in free will?

The fact that the precise meaning of Azazel is at best dubious ought to bring a little caution to your settling on one specific meaning based on "a few scholars". That the Lord's goat and the scapegoat (Azazel) are evidently antithetical to one another according to the whole context of the...

Some Christians look for Jesus in all the wrong places. If you want to find or understand what the kingdom of God is all about, don't look for it in miracles, or in 'tongues', or being 'slain in the spirit', or any physical sign or mental knowledge or spiritual dream or vision...no, none of...

Some here painting pictures with a very wide brush. I guess it has never occurred to anyone that there may be churches, even denominations, that began with a core group of ordinary people who loved Jesus supremely, studied the scriptures, discovered truth that had been trampled on, ignored, lain...

The Catholic church murdered millions of what they called "heretics". They were called such because they hadn't submitted to church teaching or papal authority. None were persecuted because they didn't agree with the scriptures, and only a few were actually opposed to God Himself. They simply...

You cannot claim to have renounced the world if you respond like a panting puppy every time the world gives you attention. There are many things the new Christian ought never forget, but the most important is, "without Me you can do nothing".

I think it quite appropriate that I copied this from a friend on Facebook, and post it here. The Man Christ Jesus is an indescribably awesome marvel to me. Besides considering the infinite condescension He made just by becoming one of us, exchanging His outward, glorious form as the only...

Bible Study Mary. Acts 20 verses 18 to 35 is Paul speaking of his own departure. KJV 2 Thessalonians 2:3 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; It says that the falling...

My son is a chef, we take turns to cook for ourselves, his mum, and our 22 year old grandson. We eat very well. But mum and I are getting on now, so we don't have huge appetites. The last time I cooked something different was a sweet n sour chicken. My own sauce, rice, and veggies. The chef son...

Goes to show that education, no matter how many letters one may have after his name, is no guarantee to making good decisions.

The universe is unbelievably vast, millions of light years from one star to another, with unknown numbers of worlds in between. How could anyone get bored exploring all of that with the stories we have to tell different beings of creation aspects of God love for sinners that they could not...
