Still though it could have been used to hunt or to kill a cow in the field for food, people used to kill their own chicken by slicing their necks, a few still do, but a lot used to do it. My point is the use of a literal sword for self defense just wasn't recorded in the NT, it just doesn't say...

A French name D'aigle = Eagle

You always quote these verses, but I wonder what the sword was for, as after Jesus's death and resurrection there is no record of any of the apostles in the NT using their sword to defend themselves from being persecuted. Could it have been to hunt? Could it have been to skin an animal and...

Yep it sounds like they all want us to live in the city, good luck to them trying to get me to do that though. Haha

Sierra Hull is a genius on the mandolin.

Oh and during his time as Prison chaplain in Port Augusta prison, a third of the prison was led to Jesus. That was in the 90s. He has also seen thousands turn to Jesus in a Texas prison within a very short time. Praise the Lord. :D

I think if Biden was to get a man bun it would definitely improve his chances!

No, not that I know of, he worked in Port Augusta Prison, and he did prison ministry in Queensland too, Arthur Gorrie Prison I think, after that he took a break from it and returned to it for a short time, that being the latest was probably a decade ago, when he went to Bali, he was going to see...

So far in this thread poll - 18 people reckon Trump will win - 2 people reckon Biden will win - 2 are unsure who will win By the way, I still haven't found one Christian prophet with a prophecy of Biden winning. A lot seem to be prophesying "Trump will win 2020." But for all you know, one...

@Cristo Rei @marksman @Brakelite2 @Scoot Can you believe what they are doing to our state we live in?

I don't know how one would feel to be an executioner, but it must be hard to live with that sort of job. I certainly wouldn't feel good about it.

So here's the latest, just found out that they want to ban horse riding in Victorian national parks. That is crazy!

It seems to me anything short of perfect in the public eye is just not good enough in today's world, when being not perfect is just part of human nature.

Yep, this world does need to learn to forgive more. Today a lot are treated as once a criminal, always a criminal. Or even it might be simply something someone may say, and people hold that against someone for a long time..... Or even someone that's innocent that has been put in front of...

It's still there, I can still see it.

Also would like to add. Discernment could also come down to Quite a number of Christians choose the wrong marriage partners or get into the wrong relationships these days, and end up in divorces, of course there are other reasons for divorces, one may go against God's plans for their life and...

I think there are a few different levels of discernment. The first level being, Christian's should be able to discern the differences between what's obviously morally right and wrong. Then there is discerning the difference between witchcraft and not witchcraft, which some do struggle with...

Should there be a death penalty Yes or No? As a son of a someone who used to work as a prison chaplain, I don't agree with the death penalty. I believe they too are human beings, they too can be saved, some are genuinely repentant in countries that still have the death penalty, and they are...

Cold and frosty as I left home this morning, 1.5c, 3c here twice as warm as work. :D

What really? I would expected there to be higher mountains in Ontario
