Imputation is based on the Old Testament

What do you say of Phinehas and God's imputation on Him? (Check out the OP) Will you be honest? Or will you hide behind a faux offense caused by religious sensibilities encountering the inconvenient truth?

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

I have to show you humility so that you can prove you have been indoctrinated properly? The humility is that I even try to correspond to someone who displays such dishonesty. Unless you actually engage the thread at hand I will have to put you on ignore. I think honesty is what is required...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

All discussion is welcome. What is not welcome is robotically spewing an indoctrination that has no support in scripture whatsoever. Just imagine God recognizing people as having the same righteousness as Himself. As in God saying ..."I recognize that Abraham had the same righteousness as...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

Amazing...You are doing exactly as you say. I have posted scriptures and shown how they relate to each other. Your understanding is based on religious conditioning...by adding to the word and taking away from it. So you will be unable to discuss anything I'm saying...instead resorting to the...

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

Growing INSIDE grace doesn't mean that grace is growing. We are to grow into the level of our calling. If you give a man some clothes that are too big for him as a teenager....as he becomes full grown man (full stature) he grows into the clothes. The same goes for grace as we put on the NEW MAN.
  6. Episkopos

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

No one can make holiness more perfect. One has to understand what Paul is referring to. We perfect our own walk in holiness by making sure that we remain out of the way...that we give a firm foundation to the higher walk in Christ. The fear of the Lord keeps the outer man in check. It also...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

More bot answers. Again, whoever you are...you are not responding to what I wrote...at all. I notice this among those who are also not able to read the bible for what it says. Instead many people have learned to be pew warmers and eat up whatever scheme makes more people sit in pews. But there...

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

I didn't say that we are not responsible for our own behaviour. We will be judged by it. We will each be judged by our works. Don't confuse holiness with righteousness. We learn righteousness....we progress in righteousness....we leave room for (or be subject to) the righteousness of God...

    Holiness vs Righteousness

The confusion lies in your own doctrine. You uphold what you are denying and deny what you are upholding. How? You don't understand either righteousness or holiness. That is obvious. One can sin and still be righteous.....but not holy. You, of course have no understanding here. One needs to...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

The Bible has both promises and warnings. The trick is to assign each to its proper place. The fear of the Lord for the outer man, and the comfort of the Spirit to the inner man.

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

That's why we are to receive the implanted word with meekness. :) The problem arises when the rich and presumptuous get a hold on the Bible to twist its meaning to include themselves. But the Bible is clear enough on the subject of the proper attitude in dealing with the things of God.
  12. Episkopos

The Godly Heresy of Sinless Perfectionism

No one becomes progressively holy. That would make holiness a work of men...which of course it is not. We are INSTANTLY holy by entering into Christ. He is our perfection. Holiness is about entering INTO Christ. In Him is no sin. 1 Cor. 1:30 "But of him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

So much confusion. If we remain humble and teachable we remain under the CORPORATE covering of Christ. If we lie and resist the truth (as so many do nowadays) then Jesus will spit us out. No matter how many times the religious posers are warned, they will never listen.
  14. Episkopos

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

Covering is both corporate and individual. I was speaking as being individuals. The (I think its a bot) poster was speaking about personal salvation. There is no understanding of either righteousness or holiness....just a religious scheme concocted by twisting the meaning of Paul's writings.

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

I think it is a BOT that is posting this. No cogent (thinking) response ..just spewing non-related indoctrination. Back to ignore. You gotta like that function...keeps out the bots.
  16. Episkopos

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

Yes, the covering blood is the LIFE...the resurrection life of Christ. being justified IN Christ means we have entered into His life...His perfection. This walk is too deep to understand among religiously indoctrinated people who are looking to save themselves. What did Jesus say about the rich...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

You neither understand the words of Paul nor the gospel. Post the exact verse that you are misunderstanding. (without adding in your interpretation) The work of God is to allow men to walk as Jesus walked...as they are truly covered by God's righteousness. There is no sin in Christ. But even...

    Holiness vs Righteousness

No one in this world is more spiritually confused than the one who thinks that one can sin WITH God's righteousness. Sinful holiness? That heresy has eternal consequences, yet people will wipe their mouths and say...I have done nothing wrong.
  19. Episkopos

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

This is the biggest error possible. I can't believe the modern teachings on how easily people are led astray. God did not impute His righteousness to Abraham. That's definitely not in the Bible. But it is preached as such by false teachers. read the Bible for yourself...without the...

Imputation is based on the Old Testament

FYI Abraham was human like us. So was Phinehas. The OT is based on what was possible to do in human strength. The NT is based on what is possible by the empowering grace of God...which was modeled by Jesus in His earthly walk. When we put on Christ we put on His strength and perfection. God...
