    I am a Liberal

Some other rules of thumb I try to use subconsciously: 1. Is it true? Always question your own assumptions, if for no other reason than to be sure your ready to defend your position. 2. Is it edifying? Will at least one person benefit from your post? 3. Is it super succinct? I prefer not to...

This is what evil on the internet looks like.

God please show again your undeserved favor and give thewordofknowledge eyes to see the lies he has fallen into. Break the power of the occult that has him in it's grip. In Jesus name I pray Amen.

    YOU DENY THE POWER

I wasn't rebuking you, I think you did what was necessary. I was referring to the situation you mentioned, If I were praying in tongues and ran out of things to say I would stop praying. I'm not going to say Jesus is sitting right next to me if he isn't.

    YOU DENY THE POWER

I'm in complete agreement, I deplore all dishonesty. Life and death is in the power of the tongue, you should treat it like a loaded gun. I think I'll just let well-enough alone concerning RANDOR.

    Why do Christians grieve?

I don't think his grief was due to unbelief because Martha didn't express that in John 11, Martha was prepared to believe that he would raise Lazarus from the dead. I could however be wrong about what moved him to weep, commentaries give a number of reasons. I do have to consider that if Jesus...

    I need some advice

Welcome to the forum Thomas Leonard! I look forward to hearing more from you. I suppose zeke25 is a Catholic, so he would know how to be baptized into the Catholic Church. Catholics are in a minority here, most people from this site are from other various denominations. Something all...

    YOU DENY THE POWER

Who here denies the power of God? I certainly don't. When you fail to acknowledge the power of God's love above all else you miss out. There is more to the christian faith than resounding gongs and clanging cymbals. 1 Corinthians 13

    I am a Liberal

Your assertions assume you have a correct biblical understanding. it is unreasonable to expect others to guess your understanding if it is errant. The only reason it would be useless to post scripture would be if you despise the truth, and refuse to heed correction. Proverbs 12:15 Don't the...

What do you think of this story ?

It promotes a sort of karma, when we know God does not repay everything in the here and now.

Salvation by Grace through faith alone

Thank you for the response Enquirer. It makes since that those who do follow what is written in Romans 10:10 must be justified then and there. If we weren't justified immediately I don't see how God's Holy Spirit would dwell within us, and how Christians could manifest the spiritual gifts...

Salvation by Grace through faith alone

The very fact that you have doubt and fear and are willing to admit it tells me God has a firm grip on you.
