KJV Revelation 13:11-18 11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose...

What is the difference between "let there be light", and "thou shall not commit adultery"? In every command and in every promise of the word of God is the power, the very life of God, by which the command may be fulfilled and the promise realized. He who by faith receives the word is receiving...

A counterfeit Christian church that through the state enforces false worship upon the entire global population.

Why not? Is God without power to recreate us in His image? KJV Romans 8:3-4 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be...

If all God's commandments can be described as the law of sin and death, then how can we reconcile that idea with scripture that declare the commandments as God's righteousness? Paul's declaration that the commandments are holy, just, and good? KJV Romans 7:7 7 What shall we say then? Is the law...

That is a most commendable goal. Be very interested in your progress and the conclusions and thoughts you have during your studies. Perhaps a dedicated thread, although I can already envision the numerous redirects and excursions into unrelated avenues of inquiry.

No.

What is the law of sin and death that we are saved from? Is it the Ten Commandments, or is it human heredity that our nature is compelled to bring sin and death to us all through disobedience to the 10, except we be born again? What is the law of life that frees us from that other law, and how...

KJV Matthew 24:1-2 1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be...

@amigo de christo hey my friend, there isn't much I can add to what Barney has said, but I will say this. The SDA church is made up of people, and people generally are a flawed species, and one finds them everywhere. Even in our denomination. Historically, our church has evolved. I was reading...

Why did the chicken cross the road? To chat with the idiot who lived in the other side. "Knock knock". "Who's there?" "The chicken".

The destruction of Jerusalem. The heeded warning from Jesus for His disciples to escape before that destruction. They went to Pella. Antioch. Those Jewish zealots that survived rebelled against Rome and Christians, who worshipped the same God as the Jews, and got caught up in the same melee. So...

Give any literary piece a new author, create circumstances and reasons to justify it, and then you can dispense with all manner of stuff you don't agree with on account of your belief that the "original author" couldn't have written that particular part. Well, it wasn't that text that...

I have no love for the Papacy, but I need to pull you up on the above statement. While it is true that during the dark ages, from about the 6th century on, the Catholic Church in Rome certainly produced a lot of fraudulent documents which were claimed as true and used to their advantage for...

Jesus fulfilled the law. What does that actually mean to you? Does that mean you now no longer need to? Does it mean that Jesus proved it could be done in human flesh, therefore leaving no excuse for others? Or does it simply mean that Jesus met all the legal requirements and criteria of the law...

Interested in who you are aiming your shotgun at.

So you think Jesus actually broke the Sabbath. In other words He transgressed His own 4th commandment. The context of the above statement from Jesus is in sharing gospel truth. No connection to creation. Two completely different events beating no relation to one another. What was finished? Did...
