Yes, one is attracted to Love and Life and should yearn to move toward them rather than to simply move away from death.

Is not purgatory a place of purging? Consider this: "But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and...

What if we have already been there? Is not hell a place of death and dead people?

Years before I knew that there might be a better choice, I began my studies of German and Spanish. Many decades later, I decided to try to study the original human Bible languages, but it was not God's will for me. He does direct me but not in that way. I am glad you have been able to study...

Yes, He surely does, but is He not interested in what we will do with all that He has provided? Adam and Eve chose wrongly on the one choice that made a difference. How well does God see us doing with our choice? God or mammon?

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek" Rom 1:16 Without the lead of the Holy Spirit in a person what is he able to understand from the scriptures even written in his first...

I believe that any person who has died physically never having received Life from God is simply dead. The dead know nothing and have no need of judgement. They are dead. Being ignorant of other things you have mentioned I will not speak of them. I have my hope NOW brought by Jesus. What I will...

@Aunty Jane Well, the German does not make me cringe, LOL. I read a German Bible all of the time as well as a Spanish one. The German word, Geist, is used in each place where either of the words, spirit or ghost, is used in English Bible versions. The word, espíritu, is used in Spanish for the...

@Aunty Jane No matter how careful we are in our readings/studies and our walk with God, someone will certainly disagree with us when we express ourselves and they may even assure us that if we continue along our present course, it will be disastrous for us indeed. Fortunately, no man will...

These things you mention are not new to me. I have read about them and heard about them... but I am trusting God to provide me with what I need in spite of men and their biased or unbiased errors... in spite of my own shortcomings. I am not a historian nor do I read any of the original Bible...

I certainly did miss your point. It must be old age setting in.

Love the truth! What should we do?

What does that have to do with my post to you?

Zero need? Do you @reformed1689 speak with the perfect words of God? Is anyone still carried about with every wind of doctrine? Are all the parts of the whole body of Christ fitly joined together? Are all of the purposes of those gifts [five ministries] from God fulfilled already today in...

Did come to teach and to learn or only the former? The scripture certainly contains all of the answers from God that a man may need in his course here, but without the lead of the Holy Spirit what can he understand of what he reads? Correction...I am not leaving a discussion, but a lecture...

They are so considered by a man or men? What if everything contained in those supposed 'spurious' verses were to be found elsewhere in the written scriptures? Are there not people who would name most, or even all, of the written Bible as spurious? Should we base our faith on what is written in...

Yes, the Bible alone may be complete, but the Word of God is Not complete in me if God is still working in me purging any remnants of my Old man and his ways while filling the empty spaces with the New man and his Way! "He must increase, but I must decrease." John 3:30

"Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God." Matt 5:8 How may our hearts be purified so as to see God? "And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by...

What was the answer to that last question? How does a man recognize the Spirit of Truth?

Even so... To repent certainly means to change one's mind or to turn around! Every true believer has done this. If a person still has room to increase, that is room to grow more like God, may that not also be more changing of him as he repents of any remaining old ways in his heart? God may...
