- God gave humanity the green light to kill and eat critters. (Gen 9:3) But didn't give humanity the green light to kill and eat each other. (Gen 9:5-6) Why isn't it murder for humanity to kill and eat critters? Well; that's because humanity has the status of the image and likeness of God; and...

- Female Pastors, Preachers, and Teachers If it wasn't so sad, it would almost be humorous to watch people quote Paul's writings as proof texts to refute Paul's writings; viz: Paul vs Paul. (chuckle) The clash of the titans; except that in this case, the titans clashing with each other are both...

- How People Will Stay In Heaven Back in 1968, I lived alone for a while in the daylight basement of a family home in Oregon. The solitude afforded me plenty of free time to think about the afterlife; and one of my biggest concerns was of course that of ending up in hell. I reasoned that it...

- That would be tragic. Christian churches need their pastors to stay home and tend the sheep that Jesus Christ entrusted to their care; the churches do not need more pastors running off to get involved in things like political activism. That was him disobeying Paul the apostle's instructions...

- The upside to the Holocaust is its value as historical evidence to prove the existence of the covenant's God. It is also valuable as historical evidence to prove that the covenant was still in force for Yhvh's people as recent as the middle of the last century. True; the covenant is obsolete...

- I am not a Christian minister ordained to serve Jesus Christ. I am a rank and file pew warmer who depends upon ordained ministers like King to stay the course and tend the sheep whom Christ has entrusted to their care instead of leaving home and running off to do their own thing in the world...

- January 27 is the official United Nations date for remembering the Holocaust; but honestly; if I were a Jew, I would much prefer the world not draw attention to my dirty laundry. Let me explain. One has to ask, in point of fact there has been more than one rabbi ask: How is it that so many of...

- †. 2Tim 2:4 . . As Christ's soldier, do not let yourself become tied up in the affairs of this life, for then you cannot satisfy the one who has enlisted you in his army. The koiné Greek word for "affairs" is pragmateia (prag-mat-i'-ah) which refers to transactions. One of Webster's...

- I'm sorry to hear that; but if you can read the gospels and not discern between Solomon's take on the afterlife, and Jesus Christ's take, then there is really nothing much I can do about it. =============================

- Solomon is generally acknowledged as the wisest man who ever lived; and he is also credited with composing the book of Ecclesiastes; though in reality there exists no textual evidence to substantiate that he did. But for the moment; I'll assume that he did. As wise as Solomon was, Jesus...

- What's With The Seal? †. Eph 4:30 . . Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. According to Eph 1:12-14, the Holy Spirit serves two purposes. First off, the Holy Spirit himself is the seal; which is from the koiné Greek word sphragizo...

- Here's the upgraded version of post #1. Ecclesiastes vs Jonah Q: Doesn't the Old Testament say that the dead are oblivious; for example: "Whatever your hand finds to do, verily, do it with all your might; for there is no activity or planning or knowledge or wisdom in sheol where you are...

- Q: Doesn't the Old Testament say that the dead are oblivious; for example: "Whatever your hand finds to do, verily, do it with all your might; for there is no activity or planning or knowledge or wisdom in sheol where you are going. (Eccl 9:10) A: Okay, that's what Solomon said. Next we'll...

- †. Luke 11:31 . .The queen of the south will be raised up in the judgment with the men of this generation and will condemn them; because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, but, look! Something more than Solomon is here. As bright as Solomon was, his wisdom was...

- Eph 1:12-14 explains a difficult spiritual truth by putting it into a context easy to understand by anyone familiar with the process of buying a home. Another context, also easy to understand, is located in the 38th chapter of Genesis. Long story short, Judah left his staff and signet with...

- You just try and remove your signature from an escrow document and see what happens. I'm appalled at the low opinion some people have of God's integrity. ===========================================

- What Is A Spiritual Body? I'm going to deliberately misquote 1Cor 15:44. Watch for the changes. "It is sown a solid body; it is raised a spirit body. There is a solid body, and there is a spirit body." I did it like that to bring out the point that the koiné Greek word for "spiritual" is...

- "Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself" is widely thought to be one of Christ's commandments; but it isn't. He got it from the covenant that Yhvh's people agreed upon with God as per Lev 19:18 and Lev 19:34. Christ's commandment goes beyond the covenant that Yhvh's people agreed upon with...

- Why does any believer believe what they believe? Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, Bahá'í, Hare Krishna, Jehovah's Witness, Mormon, Judaism, Voodoo, Wiccan, Jain, Druze, Native American, etc, etc, etc. Christians think they have a lock on "belief" when really all they have is a lock on their own...
