Stop Warring against each other's interpretation of scripture!

Keeping in mind that it was only a remnant out of all Israel in the upper room that day.

    Oh Boy! Seeing So Much!

And a howdy-do to you too! :) I was just wanting to reason that point out a bit. The Lord is good!

    Oh Boy! Seeing So Much!

Absolutely, yes it is because of the atonement of the cross. Our sins being washed away, is another way of saying our sins are forgiven and "remembered no more" by God. Thus righteousness is imputed to us instead.

    Oh Boy! Seeing So Much!

Amen...we are made righteous in God's sight because He has cast our sins into the sea of forgetfulness. How can God be blind to the fact that we're not really so righteous all the time in every way, some may ask, but that is the same as asking how can God forget that we sinned? Of course He...

    Oh Boy! Seeing So Much!

We might see Moses as a picture of the Law....he failed to reflect God's holiness ( but was in the flesh when he struck that rock a second time in fleshly anger)....just as the Law fails to make anyone holy. Entering the Promised Land is a picture of holiness....no one enters the promised land...

So, should Biden be burned at the stake with Trump?

I'm just curious to know who ratted on Biden. It had to have been someone close enough to him have known about or seen the documents, you would think.....someone in his own administration?

    Instruction in righteousness

Recalling what Paul wrote.....'there remains therefore a rest for the people of God, let us not seem to have come short of it'. Promised Land was the rest from 'enemies' and slavery that God promised...land of rest. And the failure of the Israelites to cross that Jordan and enter was written...

    Instruction in righteousness

Amen. And a tree only really produces fruit when it is mature enough. As long as people ARE growing and straining for what lies ahead. The problem that I understand Episkopos is addressing is where many in the church have become complacent...resting on their laurels instead of growing...

    Instruction in righteousness

Well yes, it's already done....or is it? Already under His feet, but we do not yet see it. What has happened inwardly needs to manifest outwardly. So I see it as being kind of both at the same time and many of us are in a state of growth in between. There is a need to surrender our whole...

    Instruction in righteousness

Amen. Jesus on the throne within...the holy place of our hearts. He is in us, but how much are we allowing Him to actually rule and manifest Himself, as that is what we are to grow in. He has atoned for our sins and we don't want to lose sight of that, it is encouraging when we truly need it...

    Instruction in righteousness

Well who am I brother.....we may be talking past each other at times, as far as I can tell you don't seem to understand what I've been trying to say and there are things I don't understand with what you're saying. I'm happy to hear about the pursuit of holiness, but very much disagree with your...

    Instruction in righteousness

Well, I see it this way - whenever a soul is saved, a person is healed or delivered from demons, or the dead are raised, or someone overcomes in any area, etc.......we are enforcing the rule of Christ and ruling with Him. "All authority on heaven and earth has been given to Me." "Behold I...

    dust and ashes

I agree, but please just don't throw the baby out with the bathwater, as some unfortunately seem to be doing.

    Instruction in righteousness

Brother, since we see through a glass darkly our understanding is always subject to being tweeked, corrected or being finer-tuned by the Lord as He nudges us along the narrow path.......but I’m not seeing any of this as an either-or thing. I consider that we need to acknowledge BOTH what Jesus...

    Instruction in righteousness

See why I'm confused! If the outer man and Old Man are the same thing, how can you crucify what is already dead? So it appears that you do not consider them to be the same. Anyway that was my last attempt to clarify this. I will just have to let this go for now, I guess.

    Instruction in righteousness

Agree in principle with your post. But want to try and iron out where I'm confused. ok, so this verse below agrees with the one I quoted above from your post: Col 3:10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him (As we are a new...

    Instruction in righteousness

I find the word of God to be very tactful in many instances....the Lord is kind not to quench a smoldering wick and a bruised reed shall He not break. Occasionally we may need a pointed word though, and when it comes, it is effective...it accomplishes that which it was sent for, without harming...

    Instruction in righteousness

Yes, I know what you mean.....I'm seeing our fake persona as being part of the old man that we need to put off. Learning not to depend on that anymore, but depending on our new nature and learning to walk in it. Maybe there's a final surrendering up of our old man nature...at least that seems...

    Instruction in righteousness

Not disagreeing in principle and love what is being said about separating us from the sin nature. But where I always get confused is the use of the term "outer man".....I just can't peg it to scripture and it always throws me off. Scripture talks about putting off the old man and putting on...

    Darkness and light (poll)

The natural man cannot receive the things of the spirit....they are foolishness to him. We need to ears to hear what the spirit is saying.
