Unity of the faith - at what cost?

So the angels and the whole universe would serve him bowing and scraping out of fear? Sound like a pagan deity!

Who did Jesus Die a Ransom for?

I think it was paid to us. Gods character was so obscured by the evil one, it was only by giving his life ie, tortured to death without pay back but rather forgiving his torturers so that it was possible for people to see the character of God. If it was death that God required he could have...

Who did Jesus Die a Ransom for?

Death was promised if they ate the forbidden fruit. it wasn't a demand. I don't see where God demanded anything from Adam Have you considered that your idea of Justice is an overlay on God?

Who did Jesus Die a Ransom for?

no immediate scripture however, I think it took God to give his life to convince us, if not the inhabitants of the Universe, the nature of his love. In other words, he paid the ransom to us.

We’re the two witnesses from the past?

You obviously are happy with a God who kills. The one I know who favours that view is Satan and he has much success. Don't all participants in wars pray to God to help them win? They have no problems killing the opposition because their God justifies killing also. Joining their ranks only...

We’re the two witnesses from the past?

We are all infected with the process of dying. God doesn't need to kill us. Instead, he offers life to all.

We’re the two witnesses from the past?

Certain ones have rejected The Truth.....the natural consequence is death. Life does not exist apart from God. Deliberate sustained distancing from life/ truth results in death. Death is not an arbitrary judgement....it is a consequential fact

Do you feel your sin just as I feel my sin?

I have come to slowly learn that change is related to how I see. I have discovered that from taking note of what Jesus emphasised. For the most part, the closer I get to him the stronger or the most obvious my sin appears to myself and I need to do battle with the accusing voices.....and that...

Unity of the faith - at what cost?

Not intending to distract but I would like to throw in these thoughts regarding the use of words and mental pictures they invoke. The words 'paid' and 'penalty'; it appears they are connected in how we think about them. How are we to process these in our understanding? Here are some options...

    Seventh-day Adventist

@Phoneman777 Have you ever wondered if Moses had an opinion on the Trinity or what Noah thought about baptism? It probably doesn't matter but what it does do is allow reflection on a perspective outside of what is deemed right and acceptable.
