But not the only one. What it does do is commendable, and needful. But other denominations have their own systems of social work and helping others. And on a per member basis, possibly doing more than the Catholic Church.

Well, first there is the well known Thomas Christians of Goa, India. Sadly, they were the victims of later inquisitions by Jesuits. I would imagine that being established by the apostle Thomas means they were fairly early. But that wasn't what I was originally referring to, I was thinking of...

Close, but not quite. The statue of Daniel 2 gives you the framework on which to build the prophecies of Daniel 7,8,11 and 12. The head of gold, Babylon. Defeated as you say by Meda-Persia, the silver chest and arms. They were defeated by Greece, bronze torso, (Alexander the Great), whose empire...

Satan was lying. Any new age esoteric pagan occult teaching that entertains the idea that the soul is immortal, is also a lie. People who die are asleep, awaiting the resurrection. Some, those who are friends with Jesus, will be resurrected at the second coming and will be given eternal life...

Daniel 8:14

I would dispute the Coptic church or the Catholic Church as being first. The Jerusalem church was first, then the Asian churches, and after 70ad, the Christians as they them became known, congregated on large numbers in Pella, Antioch, etc. Papal Rome never had any political or religious...

I wasn't referring that letter to you, it was too BoL, sorry for the confusion

By recognizing the relation between over watch and over see, I think I demonstrated write well how languages work. What you stubbornly refuse to recognize is there is some intellectual integrity outside of your own narrow prejudicial perceptions and deceptive reasoning. Your say above you...

Human beings are a relational people. They received that same mindset from their Creator, who is a relational God. In every man is an innate desire to love, be loved and belong. The gospel addresses that hunger. In the OT God told Moses, "let them make me a sanctuary that I may dwell among...

Well, you have a problem then. Because I'm not changing in order to relieve you of your 'pain'. If the truth hurts that much, it's you who will have to change your mentality. You will have to deal with it another way if you are going to continue to read my posts.

My problem? Okay.

Further to that, most of you may be familiar with Daniel 2... The statue that Nebuchadnezzar dreamed? Gold head. Silver arms. Bronze torso. Legs of iron. Feet of iron and clay. But remember that Daniel told the king that the statue represented only 4 empires. The first was Babylon. The second...

You are right. And the Bible is full of promises that that scenario of correction is coming soon. Prophecy is a fascinating subject. And the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation have been unfolding for over 2000 years, and we are today in the very final stages of this world's tenure.

Now that is something I can agree with. Not the you dying part, but that society is sick. Christians however are actually divided on their worldview. Some agree with you, and cannot wait the Lord's return so they can get outta here, while others are intent on working to make the world a...

I believe I came from a line of humanity that had it's genesis in the creation of man by God. Others here I presume, though they haven't voiced this directly, believe they come from a series of mutants and accidental malfunctions in genetics, the latest taking place 100s of thousands years ago...

One could add that not only did Constantine make Christianity legal, but he and his antecedents, particularly Justinian, made every version of Christianity illegal that didn't submit to the Roman version of Christianity. Beginning with the Aryans. Later the Celts. The Albigenses. Waldenses...

So I am no expert in language, Greek is Greek to me. But the above quote is quite bemusing to me being presented as it is to nullify the word over-seer. Overwatcher... Overseer... Watch... See... Am I the only one who can see the connection? Or am I the only one watching?

That is inherently dangerous, trusting in miracles as a sign of a valid ministry. KJV Revelation 13:12-14 12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 And he...

I happen to disagree with him. Regardless of his Jesuit Georgetown theological honors. History happens to are with the prophecies of scripture concerning the Catholic Church. KJV Daniel 7:24-25 24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise...

Every time you post you reveal yourself more and more as Satan's mouthpiece, his puppet. No. Good laws enhance freedom. Tell me. How much freedom would you have if God rescinded the law of gravity? In some cases that is true. But what of an association that has as it's principle goal to help...
