Were I to seriously "bash" somebody I would be a lot more creative than simply telling it like it is. When some of you people came on this forum to "discuss" Christianity what did you expect to find? A colony of bee-essers like yourselves? No; some of us are actually believers and beneficiaries...

That's because you're ill-equipped to recognize the truth whenever, and wherever, you encounter it; viz: those of us who are the called of Jesus Christ have an advantage. †. John 16:13 . .When He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth †. 1Cor 2:12-15 . . Now we have...

. The sixth chapter of Romans wasn't penned for the amusement of the world at large. According to Rom 1:6, it was penned for the benefit of those who are the called of Jesus Christ. The koiné Greek word for "called" is a bit ambiguous; viz: it can be translated a couple of ways; for example...

. I take it as a personal insult when people denigrate North America's Native peoples because they constitute the bulk of my extended family. My eldest nephew is Seneca, two younger nephews are Kumeyaay, and my three eldest nieces are Navajo. Kevin Costner's character in Dances With Wolves made...

Those "pagans" as you call them were far spiritually superior than even the brightest, the best, and the most sophisticated modern-day Atheist you might care to name. BTW: before you go saying anymore about North America's Native Americans; I suggest you get yourself a copy of the book below...

Unbelief falls into two categories. For example; unbelief is depicted as intentional at Rom 1:18-20 due to refusal to accept intelligent design and the existence of a supreme being; while at Mark 16:15-16 unbelief is depicted as both intentional and unintentional; in other words: somebody can't...

. A Catholic once told me that Noah's ark depicts the Holy Roman Catholic Church. So I pointed out to him that if that were true; then every Catholic would have cause to believe they have heaven in the bag seeing as how everybody aboard the ark made it to safety. However, according to Canon 16...

. According to Rom 4:15, Rom 5:13, and Gal 3:17, Moses' covenanted law isn't retroactive. And if that law isn't retroactive; then of course no law is. In other words; it is impossible to break a law that has yet to be legislated and signed into law; which is precisely why God couldn't prosecute...

. †. Mark 9:47-48 . . If your eye causes you to sin, gouge it out. It is better to enter the kingdom of God half blind than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell; where the worm never dies and the fire never goes out. Jesus' statement about the worms didn't reveal anything new. Similar...

(sigh) Just what every forum needs: a culture cop. Well; let me tell you something: a rose by any other name is still a rose; viz: loonies are what they are. You call them what you want, and I will call them what I want. Let's not be bigots and start lecturing people when their choice of words...

According to Gen 2:9, both trees grew in the midst of the garden. According to 1Tim 2:14, Adam knew exactly what he was doing. Buen Camino /

I myself use three prescription drugs: one for thyroid, one for acid reflux, and one for blood pressure. So far I haven't needed any psychotropic medications. (knock on wood) I don't use illegal substances; in point of fact, I've never even experimented with one; not even weed. I'll tell you...

. Every so often I encounter people on Christian forums whose logic processes are a bit out of whack. It is humanly impossible to discuss the gospel with people who have that handicap; but it's not totally impossible. Jesus once encountered a lunatic whose mind was being controlled by a large...

That error is very common, and it's simply due to a lack of appreciation for the indestructible nature of eternal life. Human life is nowhere near as good a quality of life as eternal life. Human life is a created kind of life that had it's beginning in the book of Genesis. But eternal life is...

The Hebrew word for "image" is tselem (tseh'-lem) which doesn't necessarily indicate a spitting image; it just simply means shade; viz: a shadow and/or a phantom. It's a very common word in the Old Testament and often translated by the English word "idol". The word for "likeness" is demuwth...

That's curious. Jesus' normal position is seated rather than on his feet. (Heb 8:1) Another curiosity is that since God is spirit rather than material (John 4:24) and never before seen by human eyes (John 1:18) then what exactly did Stephen see, and how did he know that what he was looking at...

Did you even bother to read any of that passage before citing it? Well; no matter; I'll just go straight to the bottom and deal with that since you seem to have no interest in the rest of it. †. Rom 6:23a . .The wages of sin is death People like me are exempt from the wages of sin. †. John...

. When Jonah died, he went to a place he described as the roots of the mountains (Jonah 2:6). Well; the roots of the mountains aren't situated in the tummy of a fish; they're embedded in the earth. Jesus said the same thing about his experience. †. Mtt 12:40 . . For just as Jonah was in the...

Your remark is to be expected from someone who doesn't know the difference between the behavior of a criminal at large, and the behavior of a child in the home. Prior to undergoing the birth about which John wrote at John 1:12-13 and John 3:3-8, my sins were all crimes, every one of them. After...

. †. John 3:6 . .That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of The Spirit is spirit. In a nutshell: 1John 1:8-10 pertains to that which is born of the flesh, while 1John 3:9 pertains to that which is born of The Spirit. In other words: people who have successfully...
