I Can't Keep My Mouth Shut Anymore

I would have to most solidly agree with that interpretation. ;)

    new version of OSAS?

So people aren't "saved" until they die? :)

    I'm sorry; who's "US?"

Wow. A science-savvy guy. You'd better watch your back around here.:):D:p:cool:

I don't think he's mocking the Scriptures. I think he's defending them, albeit through sarcasm. It's true that early believers in Christ had only the Old Testament for instruction. Sure the disciples taught. But the main instruction for early Christians was the OT. Just sayin'. :)

I don't make the rules. Everyone agrees to them, btw. Everyone.

Rules are rules. I can see debating issues and doctrine, but judging people's standing with God is strictly off-limits for me. :)

    Wonderful stuff :)

That's actually a no-no according to forum rules: "Do not state or imply that another member or group of members who have identified themselves as Christian are not Christians. If there is an issue where a member seems to have circumvented the basic tenants of the faith in order to join the...

Ah, there may be strength in numbers, but there's more in tactical weapons. lol

I Can't Keep My Mouth Shut Anymore

I don't know if I said this on CB before, but I was a Navy brat in the '60s and '70s and so I got used to getting jabbed in the arm on a regular basis. If you didn't get your shots, you simply didn't travel overseas. When I joined the Air Force in '82 I got them all over again because they...

    new version of OSAS?

I don't do dispensationalism. Sorry. :) I can't even repent on my own. Why would I think I could bear fruit on my own? I'm dependent upon Christ for my heartbeat and my breath.

    new version of OSAS?

He was expecting man not to fall.

You and me both, John. I'm all in. We're not really discussing anything here. We're arguing. Eternal security vs. conditional security. There's no reconcilable way to paint it. Either you believe salvation is a once-and-done deal or you don't. I can't see any middle ground. This forum is...

    new version of OSAS?

Well, regardless of the nuts and bolts, Moses' ending was unfortunate. But we know he was saved.

    For now, yes.

    new version of OSAS?

Christ was shocked that Nicodemus didn't understand regeneration. The conditions of eternal life are the same today as they have always been--perfect obedience to the commandments of God. If it were not so we would not need a savior. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of...

    new version of OSAS?

We know that they died, but we don't that they were lost. The history of Israel is an object lesson, not literal, Soteriological Theology for them. It seems doubtful to me that Uzzah was lost just for trying to protect the ark of the covenant by reflex. The incident was recorded to illustrate...

    new version of OSAS?

What point was there in Jesus saying "IF you abide in me" if there was no chance for the abiding to cease?

Wouldn't it be like a talent? We could bury it.
