I am not against the written scriptures. I read and study them daily while also talking to God and have done so for a great many years. But... without the Holy Spirit are the written words not an empty shell, like the dead body of Jesus, on the cross or in the tomb, before the Resurrection...

The churches I attended from 1976 to 2018 always used only the KJV versions from the pulpit or for teaching, preaching or discussion, to avoid confusion, but those assemblies were not KJV only in the sense you mean it. Neither am I.

Even so! My Spanish and German Bibles, both from which I read regularly, are very similar to the KJV in grammatical structure. When I read either of them, I always have a KJV open as well. I have many other English versions, but I only use them for reference...never for primary reading or study.
