Are "good" unbelievers dead in the grave like unbelievers and evil people? (John 5:28-29)

because your interpretation is faulty! You assume souls and spirits are entities and independent of the body.

Are "good" unbelievers dead in the grave like unbelievers and evil people? (John 5:28-29)

then why a resurrection? where/ when 'this mortal shall put on immortality, 1 Corinthians 15:50-55 , 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18........if the righteous dead are already in heaven? 1 Corinthians 15:50-55 50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of...

Are "good" unbelievers dead in the grave like unbelievers and evil people? (John 5:28-29)

Believers do not die the second death (permanent elimination) but they all 'sleeping the dust of the earth till the call is given to rise. (just like Lazarus the brother of Mary and Martha was 'awakened' out of his 'sleep' as Jesus called it) All believers and non believers are dead (asleep in...

ESV Bible says Sodom will suffer "ETERNAL" fire but ESV Bible also says Sodom will be restored

Thank you for your honesty. Might I suggest this...... Jesus is the only one who has had direct contact with the Father. The Prophets were given visions and other forms of contact with the divine (dreams) etc and then left to describe those experiences in their own words. God did not hold their...

ESV Bible says Sodom will suffer "ETERNAL" fire but ESV Bible also says Sodom will be restored

Patrick, the Old Testament Prophets need to be understood through the lens of Jesus (I understand this might not be understood very well) Without that insight, the Prophets will be misunderstood by most. So, one of the questions that needs asking is, how do we do that? ie, what is the criteria?

War in The Middle East - likely the one!

:).....that's a kind gesture Keraz but will we be subject to ripe figs dropping on our clean clothes?.....they are messy you know. :) or is the invite only for the off season when leaves are plentiful and shield us from the Mediterranean sun?.....other times we can shuffle and sit under the...

ESV Bible says Sodom will suffer "ETERNAL" fire but ESV Bible also says Sodom will be restored

I'd say, more a misunderstanding of the meaning of Sodom

Are "good" unbelievers dead in the grave like unbelievers and evil people? (John 5:28-29)

The death people experience here and now Jesus calls a sleep. The story of Lazarus the brother of Mary and Martha makes that clear. Check the story in John 11:1-15 The first death is the story of all who have died both good and bad. This first death is the death from which all will be...

ESV Bible says Sodom will suffer "ETERNAL" fire but ESV Bible also says Sodom will be restored

Sharp eyes Patrick! .....understanding that both are true will depend on how you see......and how you see is contingent on the type of enquiry or lack of it. Matthew 6:22-23 22 “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light.23 But if your...

It's clear they haven't learned that tit and tat are bedfellows which are insatiable cannibals resulting unending trouble.

What is the one true Church?

Jesus says his stuff and then qualifies his words about eating his body and drinking his blood in John 6:63 because the disciples didn't get it 53Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you...

and if your paradigm is wrong....as I think it is (but that's secondary) ......however, if it is then you have shot yourself in the foot, meaning, it is not possible for you to see a paradigm which has integrity.

What is the one true Church?

Blood represents life, not some mystical compound with magic powers. That idea is straight out of a pagan handbook!

At what age are we to condemn people of other religions to hell?

An example; A&E thought and felt separated from God, they feared and hid. God on the other hand was proactive, he knew what the score was yet he went looking for them and provided them better clothes and promises....God was not separated from them. Another example; Jesus, who lives in light and...

War in The Middle East - likely the one!

Posting scriptures Keraz doesn't prove anything; you must know that from your experiences here! What matters is understanding the writings and joining the dots well.

At what age are we to condemn people of other religions to hell?

every enemy is reconciled but not every enemy wants reconciliation....some would rather die than live.....most would rather die than live. 'Wide is the road that leads to destruction and many travel on it.....narrow is the road that leads to life and few find it'...Jesus

Why do you think God decided to have Jesus die

Why do you think God decided to have Jesus die

Apache1, ......I think God knew we would kill him when he came; I don't think getting killed was his objective. Jesus came to show us what God was like, his character and when we couldn't handle it and wanted to get rid of him he submitted to our violence. It showed us that God would rather die...
