I actually essentially agree with you with regard to ultimate and final salvation. People throw the words, "saved", and, "salvation", around a bit too freely without clarifying... or sometimes even knowing what they really mean.

To me it seems that where you and many stand on this is manifesting a negative faith hindering your own progress toward God. "According to your faith be it unto you!" "And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible." Mark 10:27
