Except for those who by the power of the Holy Spirit have overcome as Jesus overcame. Why would you presume there are none like that? What is impossible for God?

I am praying for you!

"Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God." I John 3:9 Does born of God mean born again or born from above?

What Jesus did was open the Way for us to walk through the Door [Jesus]. We must do the walking and the overcoming ourselves. The Door is effectively the same Door/Gate closed behind them when Adam and Eve were placed outside the Garden and denied reentrance by the flaming sword. For himself...

I see the second death as a possibility only for those who have received the Life that Jesus brought [John 10:10]. Everyone else is already dead to God. They were born to their natural mother's dead already as all the children of Adam and Eve are dead. Being dead already they would remain so...

So then if you name a new convert a catechumen, how are such person not included in the designation, Christian, a follower of Christ? There certainly are baby Christian and mature Christians, are there not? Give the babies a different designation if you will, that does not mean they are not...

You have quoted Jesus, which is good, but when did God speak His Word for mankind, if not before the foundation of the world of men, the foundation or creation of men themselves? His master plan was in place before the first man walked the face of planet Earth. Foreknowing the direction that...

So then who is Satan but our adversary? Who are we but our own adversary? Do any of us have a greater adversary now than ourselves? Jesus certainly killed his own adversary when he overcame the world as per John 16:33 and then he went forward to the cross and was never tempted again turn away...

Jesus overcame the things within himself which tempted as him as every man of flesh is tempted. He did not overcome your temptations or my temptations, but he did open the Way back into God and provided the means through the Holy Spirit so that we too could overcome just as he did. We cannot do...

"But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil." Matt 5:37

Would not the final result be the same... depending on whether we are allowing the Holy Spirit to lead or we are quenching the Holy Spirit?

Could not the devil be the beast or old man in me fighting to regain the upper hand he had before I met the Master? Are the attractions to sin dead yet? "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the...

Yes!

"Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts" Prov. 21:2 "For now we see through a glass, darkly;..." I Cor 13:12 "Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and...

Praying also for Pastor Yogi, his family and ministry!

Praying for you and your situation, sister!

If you are going to use uncommon or special Catholic words, you should provide a definition. I cannot agree or disagree as I can only guess what a catechumen is.

He changed the commandments? I think not! "The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever." Isaiah 40:8 "For I am the LORD, I change not;" Malachi 3:6

Probably there will be no dirt nor sweat to cause problems! But... in any case, what did Adam and Eve wear before they disobeyed God? "And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed." Gen 2:25 And then... "And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid...
