The Ekklesia; called out ones; the Church

The early church met after havdalah ( the end of the Sabbath and beginning of the new week) on saturday night....which is the beginning of the first day of the week. (the Jewish day begins in the evening). The brethren gathered for a meal and a meeting...sometimes going all night...as recorded...

How do you know your saved??

Consider your own behaviour. See that how you judge...that is from your own ways...and look at what you do. I sometimes address you...not too often...because you can't handle me because I seek after the truth. And that is very intimidating to you and some others. I don't just look at...

    Examine Yourselves

Agreed. The coming together is about discerning the Body...and seeing to the needs of others. If we are not doing that then we are not discerning the body...but too focused on ourselves. We end up playing bad notes in the eternal symphony. So then the communion meal is about getting in tune with...

The Ekklesia; called out ones; the Church

Would you agree that it is more important to do what is written in the bible than to hold it in a high regard (or even a veneration) yet not follow it's instructions?

Do we even have the correct definition of "saved?"

Au contraire mon frere...God is merciful He is a Father to the fatherless and He looks after the afflicted and poor. He saves the widow and the orphan. Not so with the religious and presumptuous however.

The Ekklesia; called out ones; the Church

What is the point of having "a high regard" for the bible...even claiming a person has more regard than another...while ignoring the content of it? Very few people actually take the bible seriously enough to actually follow it. And it seems the more that the bible is "venerated" the less...

The Ekklesia; called out ones; the Church

I actually follow the bible and the words they contain. What other regard do you mean? So I'm asking...on this thread...do you follow the bible in the way you meet with others...as in 1 Cor. 14?

How do you know your saved??

Well, actually, um er, ....yes! :)

Do we even have the correct definition of "saved?"

I'm afraid for people who listen to these modern preachers who promise heaven for nothing...in a time limited offer! Just to get another notch on their belt.

    Is Any Denomination Saved?

Christians come in both categories. But in Christ is no sin at all.

Do we even have the correct definition of "saved?"

The context you use is that you are already eternally saved...and everything you read is with that presumption. So you can just say...that's me because I'm saved...and...that's not me because ...guess what??? I'm saved. It's like looking at the bible through a straw.

The Ekklesia; called out ones; the Church

I think you are always reading my posts as if I was the same as you...passive aggressive. That's why you react so drastically. I am pointed and truthful in my posts...but they are gently written. Not aggressive....just honest. Have you noticed that I decry the lack of honesty among believers...

The Ekklesia; called out ones; the Church

So then how does what you practice compare with what is written in the bible? Say... 1 Cor. 14?

    Mind Loops

This is very informative John... agreed. Who can see how the whole thing goes together? And yet leadership in the body would have to know at least in part. But imagine excluding others because they...although a different and equally valid part of the puzzle...are rejected because they don't...

How do you know your saved??

There is a disconnect going on here. Experience shows the truth. God actually visits people in reality and experience. Anyone can read the bible and say...OK now I'm seated in heavenly places. And why do they do that? Indoctrination and an active imagination. But the bible was not written based...

How do you know your saved??

For us...it isn't so much what is written and what can be claimed religiously...but what can be actually experienced. To be translated into the kingdom means we walk in the same perfection as Jesus did....through His life (blood).

How do you know your saved??

The enemies of the cross are those who claim Jesus as their Lamb...for their own sins...but who continue to live for themselves. So these use God and Christ for their OWN SALVATION. And the enemies of the cross see nothing wrong with this selfish use of God and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ...
  18. Episkopos

The Ekklesia; called out ones; the Church

An honest person would read the bible and then compare that with what they are doing. So instead of asking the opinions or practices of others...why won't you look at what you are doing? Like being honest. Read 1 Cor. 14. Do you follow the bible? Do you follow the voice of God? Or do you...

    Mind Loops

The wilderness of the mind: Now the Israelites wandered in the desert for 40 years...one year for every day the spies were in the land for. But they didn't believe the hard things...just the easy things. And that is exactly what we see in today's churches. Why break up our way of thinking just...

    Failing the grace of God

People latch onto grace because it seems like an easy way to salvation. People like the free stuff. People like the easy stuff. Imagine going to a university...where all the answers are provided so you didn't have to actually learn anything. What would the degrees be worth? Well, less than the...
