Nehushtan only appears in the Bible once: II Kings 18:4 My good friend, @bbyrd009 had to bring home to me the significance of it a long time back now. Back in Numbers 21:5 when the natural children of Israel once again spoke out against Moses and God the result was fiery serpents biting and...

Nehushtan in other words!

Amen even as Saul of Tarsis held their coats as they stoned Stephen to death. Who is able to understand this?

The Holy Spirit needs to be quickening within us what we read or hear cited from the scripture in order for us to understand God's message to us.

It was written as God inspired men to write. To understand what it means required the same inspiration by the Spirit of God. A carnal man reading the Bible will not understand what he is reading. He needs help. Consider the Eunuch who was reading from Isaiah and needed help. God sent to him a...

Even so. They are imposing an interpretation on his words, which I do not believe is there. As so often is the case because a person is misunderstood, he may find himself attacked and condemned. How does one stay on the highway of holiness to the end of the road with God? Reading and studying...

And there certainly are other voices speaking on this forum, besides that of the Holy Spirit.

I was active there for quite a while, but every time I posted anything even slightly favorable to the Catholic Church or slightly opposed to the Trinity and in a few other areas, most of the moderators came against me and on those subjects, they would often delete my posts and issue me warnings...

Hello... whoever you are. Only here on this forum for a long while now. Last regular forum was Talk Jesus. In the past 20 years, probably, I have been involved in at least a dozen forums.

Everyone who really believes in and loves God needs to grow. There are, I believe, a lot of stagnant places around because of a lot of stagnant people. So many have found, so they seem to believe, a stopping place where they can wait until they are caught to Him at the end of their course. I...

Very soon then. Our 50th will be this next June 25th. I can remember some things so very clearly from those early days of our marriage. It is hard to believe that so much time has passed...

Probably every day of the year and certainly every day of the week can be traced back to some pagan event. I don't know what all of those events are, although I certainly know about some. When I do celebrate something anymore, I always give God first any glory. Who else but God is so deserving...

Hello again @Truman

I am surprised that you remembered as I have not used it in a while...LOL

It is your heart and your life to make do with, which God has provided. The choices are all yours, but really within our choices, ultimately there are only two: God's perfect choice for us and our own for us. God, I believe, is pleased for us to use properly all that He has provided for us here...

The earth or a little bit of earth? "And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." Gen 2:7 It seems to me that we, each of us, formed from the dust of the earth [ground] are the earth, the world. We are...

The man who really won me to the Lord celebrated no holidays and no birthdays. He and his family were always very close to the Lord in their walk and anyone who knew them at all had no doubt about it. To this day they live in California and are very close to God. He sent us a card in the mail...

Probably most of the people on this forum will not hear what you have to say... and that is among the comparatively few who will even read what you have to say. Don't feel lonesome in that. That is the nature of the beasts that men are. Men are born selfish and becoming a Christian does not...

Very simply I am an annihilationist. The alternative would be a universalist. I have known two on the Internet. Both were sisters. The first one I met about 20 years ago on another forum, which still exists, but is effectively dead. I lost of that sister long ago. The second one I have known...

I was trying to respond to them in language they accepted or understood. Not an easy with regard to something I do not accept as valid. To me it is not correct. Perhaps it is simply a way that men have constructed in imitation of what existed under the law God gave to Moses with a man, Aaron...
