Praying for your situation my brother in Christ!

And therefore... "Quench not the Spirit." I Thess 5:19

Do we live for God by faith or by knowledge? "...The just shall live by faith." Rom 1:17 Jesus, on the other hand, being the Word of God, knew things with regard to God and His kingdom, did he not, rather than only believe them by faith? When and if we ever know as Jesus knew and we have...

If we direct it at a particular person because we disagree or oppose their belief and their way they describe their connection with God, I, would see it as name calling. Leave that in the hands of the moderators! Having said that probably every man has a lazy tendency. That many men work any...

Praying for you in all of your needs!

"And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear." Mark 4:9 Who has such "ears to hear" about which Jesus spoke several times in the gospels? Where is Amadeus' church? Where is Marymog's church? Where is God's Church? Who is the Head of the Church, that is, God's Church...

"...And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name's sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee...

Give God the glory my friend! If our heart is submitted always to Him, He will always direct us correctly. God confirms that in what has been written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit. Can we see it and understand it? By the Spirit of God, we can. Quench not the Spirit!

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Rom 3:23 Your first verse speaks of every man who has been born carnal as does the Ecc. verse. The OT verse, of course, written before Jesus brought Life speaks of all those dead in sins..., which was everyone after Adam and Eve and...

While I stopped regularly attendance at any physical place a couple of years ago outside of the Internet, even when I was there, I was also striving always to stay with Jesus as my Head. By the Holy Spirit this is possible for each of us, with a church or without [meaning a physical church or...

Why not God? If your church or his church or any church agree with God, then they are right. If any of them do not, then they are not. However, even if the church we support or attend is right, that does not make me or you right, does it? If the church we support or is attend is wrong in any...

Give our God the glory my friend!

Amen! To say it is impossible would be to deny the power of God! "And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible" Mark 10:27

Thank you, sister. There are some problems we are working on. See prayer request: Prayer for Amadeus

Give God the glory, my friend!

Unfortunately, while probably everyone would deny it, there seem to some who are more interested in winning a debate than in moving closer to God or in helping someone else move closer.

To me, too much faith in the written word, even though it is in a Bible is one reason for all of the conflicts and disagreements and even confrontations among believers. People mix what they read carnally with what really is the Word of God. The lesson of the Samaritans!

No, I have seen nothing here that moved me toward making a change. I keep on coming back to it being God who does any persuading. If it were necessary and I were sincere in my desire for truth, would He not persuade me? Or vice versa? I am sincere, but I will leave it alone until my next visit...

I don't like that definition of the Word of God. But... we may not really be in disagreement except for that. What I call the Word of God is always Living! When it is not Living, as in the book unread or in us unquickened, to me it is Not the Word of God although the raw material is there...

We seem to have strayed away from the OP subject.
