Romans 11:25-27. New prophecy about the future or old prophecy about an ongoing reality?

The passage is not so much about Israel, but about the times of the gentiles, to whom Paul was made an apostle. The point is that a major transition was occurring in their times between Israel and the gentiles and the salvation of each, which Jesus referred to in being "finished" with Israel...

This Makes More Sense To Me Now

The "oil and the wine" just refers to the flesh and the spirit, represented allegorically as the olive tree, and the wine as the Holy Spirit following Pentecost (of which Christ is firstfruits).

In regard to what Jesus said to Peter, it appears that the Apostle John's presumption is in error.

It is good that you do not like the way things have gone, but you have missed the mark on where the blame falls. It is not with Paul, but with the "false teachers" foretold by both Peter and Paul. I have explained this--that Jesus set before the early church the same "life and death" choice God...

In regard to what Jesus said to Peter, it appears that the Apostle John's presumption is in error.

You have covered a lot of things here. I numbered and underlined each (above) and thought I would address them one at a time, numbered below: Yes, Paul wrestled with sin. As the apostle appointed by Jesus to the gentiles but also being a Jew, he was literally on the cusp between Israel who died...

Jesus own words that He is the Son of God

That may be what you believe--but it is not biblical. Here rather, is what is true: When one is born again of the spirit of God, they are part of the same spirit. When one is born again of the spirit of God, it is no longer they who lives, but Christ who lives in them as a possession bought...

In regard to what Jesus said to Peter, it appears that the Apostle John's presumption is in error.

I wasn't talking about marriage. Neither was Paul. Neither was God. It's always been a parable. And you did what people always do, you thought as men think. Not good.

In regard to what Jesus said to Peter, it appears that the Apostle John's presumption is in error.

You betray Paul with a kiss? Regardless, it is not Romans 6:16 where things went wrong--that is just Paul repeating it (like a second chance). Where things actually went wrong for the church is right where Jesus set it before the church, just as God had done before Adam and Eve (Genesis 2:17)...

In regard to what Jesus said to Peter, it appears that the Apostle John's presumption is in error.

That would all be good...except for pitting brother against brother and us against Paul who was commissioned by Jesus for these times. You see, Jesus [by design] did not leave us "peace but at sword"...which was to carry us all the way through theses times with just the right measure of...

In regard to what Jesus said to Peter, it appears that the Apostle John's presumption is in error.

I can answer that.. Paul a servant of Jesus Christ was commissioned as the apostle to the gentiles (all other nations beyond Israel). Not being just one nation, but all other nations meant it would take time. For which Jesus showed him how things would go rather by grace and by weakness, that...

In regard to what Jesus said to Peter, it appears that the Apostle John's presumption is in error.

So...this has all been about your personal victory under Christ Jesus--a personal rationale? If it is, fine--it's enough, and at the heart it is all well and good (minus some details we can discuss) and yet there is no great revelation here. Meanwhile, the word of God has its own rationale...

Before I finish reading your full post: "...old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new."

We Are An Overcomer Through Him

One of my favorite verses is: Proverbs 16:9 A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.

Jesus own words that He is the Son of God

John 16:14 14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. "What is Mine"

Jesus own words that He is the Son of God

Why would He lie? Just as I would not say that my picture (to the left) is literally me, it is however "created in our image"...sound familiar? That is why Jesus would not say that He was God, but rather said "I and the Father are One" (meaning one and the same). You see, that is the actual...

Jesus own words that He is the Son of God

It is you who do not understand. Husband and wife becoming one only points to what cannot and is not accomplished in the flesh. Nonetheless, we should discern by the spirit that God "all in all" in spirit, is rather all One--literally in a way the natural man and woman cannot experience.

    Genesis : Trinity

    Genesis : Trinity

Yes, that is the problem. To the contrary, it has been appointed to us to "press on." Philippians 3:12 "Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God...

    Genesis : Trinity

No, it is in the scriptures and I have laid it out for you, but you can't see past "on earth as it is in heaven", considering that they are different before, during, and after the Amen. They are not. But this too you do not understand, and therefore have resorted to pointing the finger. I...

Same ol' Priests and Pharisees :(

Yes, I suppose there should be a stated distinction between the would-be church and the actual church. Indeed there is both, and both by design, one of flesh and blood and of the world, and one of the spirit of God. The one church of flesh and blood does not carry the water of the Spirit, but...

    Genesis : Trinity

That is your error. Jesus honored the law and ordinances of Jewish monotheism, because He became a man in Israel and came to fulfill those laws and ordinances--not because He was under them, but did what was required for salvation. That is why He came. Did He believe in One God? Of course He...
