Christ Saved Us... What Do Good Works Do?

Your psychological games won't work on me. You are not fooling me for one second. Let me know when you find yourself a good Bible believing Christian church where you can learn the truth and have fellowship with genuine Christians.

Christ Saved Us... What Do Good Works Do?

Typical troll behavior. You are no stranger to slander either. Also, being an agitator is not a fruit of the Spirit.

Christ Saved Us... What Do Good Works Do?

You said - "don't just make an empty claim, lying about how you've provided a sufficient response to the truth of Scripture. Your Johnny Come Lately belief structure is a joke, and just makes a mess of Scripture." You also said - "So, the logical conclusion of your eisegesis (ie, your desire to...

Christ Saved Us... What Do Good Works Do?

Enough with the straw man arguments and slander. It does not help your case. The Bible mentions multiple crowns in scripture which does not negate prize. A Criswell observes that "Paul's assurance of salvation (cf. 2Ti 1:12) and his confidence in the security of the believer (cf. Ro 8:30, 31)...

Christ Saved Us... What Do Good Works Do?

Your eisegesis associated with 1 Cor. 9:26-1 Cor. 10 is not the answer. In 1 Corinthians 9:27, Paul is talking about being disqualified for the prize (NIV) and not disqualified for the gift of eternal life. In context, Paul has been discussing preaching the gospel. In verse 18 he says, "What is...

Christ Saved Us... What Do Good Works Do?

In post #61, you said - "Yes, we're "saved", and that "Salvation" is as the Jews' from Egypt--still, they fell under God's wrath for sinning after being saved, and forfeited the Promise." Hence Jude 1:5.

Christ Saved Us... What Do Good Works Do?

Salvation by works negates salvation by grace through faith, so you don't believe it. So much for the WHOLE thing. You believe a "different" gospel of works-righteousness and self preservation.

For starters, in regard to Jude 1:5, see post #179 from the link below: https://www.christianityboard.com/threads/one-baptism-not-two.56338/page-9#post-1634220

Christ Saved Us... What Do Good Works Do?

I pray that you find a good Bible believing Christian church where you can learn the truth and find fellowship with genuine Christians. Your anti-OSAS derangement syndrome is a sad situation.

Christ Saved Us... What Do Good Works Do?

I already previously covered your misinterpretation of Jude 1:5; 1 Corinthians 9:26 and 1 Corinthians 10. You just don't have ears to hear on Christian Chat or on the Christianity Board and there is a reason for that.

Christ Saved Us... What Do Good Works Do?

Works-salvationists cannot grasp that James is discussing the evidence of faith (says-claims to have faith but has no works/I will show you my faith by my works - James 2:14-18) and not the initial act of being accounted as righteous with God. (Romans 4:2-3)

Christ Saved Us... What Do Good Works Do?

James 2:14-26 are the most misunderstood verses in the Bible by works-salvationists and there is a reason for that.

Why do some people not like the idea of OSAS?

Hebrews 10:10 - By this will WE have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ ONCE FOR ALL. Hebrews 10:14 - For by one offering He has perfected FOR ALL TIME THOSE who are sanctified. Unlike those with spurious faith who draw back to perdition, those with genuine faith...

Losing Your Salvation - Bible Verses

My rhetorical question in regard to Matthew 3:11 was and is "was this baptism for "in order to obtain" repentance? OR was this baptism for "in regard to/on the basis of" remission of sins received upon repentance?" Obviously, the answer to my question is the latter. I understand that John knew...

    Many fake Christians

Actually, Genesis 15:5-6 explains how Abraham believed God. Genesis 15:5 - Then He brought him outside and said, "Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them." And He said to him, "So shall your descendants be." 6 And he believed in the Lord, and He accounted it to...

Losing Your Salvation - Bible Verses

Good question. His main purpose of being here seems to be: 1. Relentlessly attack OSAS. 2. Slander believers in the OSAS camp.

Losing Your Salvation - Bible Verses

Actually, you did not answer my question. The Pharisees and Sadducees/brood of vipers had no intention of repentance or bearing fruit worthy of repentance. Also notice in Luke 7:29 - When all the people and the tax collectors heard this, they justified God/acknowledged God's justice, (signified...

Losing Your Salvation - Bible Verses

In Matthew 3:11, we read - I baptize you with water "for" repentance.. Was this baptism for "in order to obtain" repentance? OR was this baptism for "in regard to/on the basis of" remission of sins received upon repentance? Getting water baptized in order to obtain repentance makes no sense at...

Why do some people not like the idea of OSAS?

That salvation is by grace through faith and is not by works is not hard to understand. Its just hard for works-salvationists to ACCEPT. Its a shame that human pride will not allow works-salvatiinists to trust in Jesus Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of their salvation. Their hands are full...
