    Where does the Bible say...

Nowhere. “Prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit” (2 Peter 1:21) All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, (2 Timothy 3:16)

    Where does the Bible say...

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God (2 Timothy 3:16) But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ” (Matthew 4:4) “Prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were...

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. (Ecclesiastes 12:13) If you love Me, keep My commandments. (John 14:15) So do Solomon and Christ, I guess.

    Where does the Bible say...

For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you. (1 Corinthians 11:19) @theefaith I guess the New Testament church is doing things differently than Elijah who, by the way, had God's ear, unlike the pontiff.

You're just proving the character of the system to which you belong.

    Go, And Sin No More?

Then we have no argument. And I do like many of the answers/responses to the thread. I don't remember asking the original question over and over again. In fact, out of 122 posts, I've re-asked the question exactly twice. You might want to pray for better ability to get your facts straight. :D...

    Go, And Sin No More?

You seem to have it all figured out. Why bother praying? I could just follow you on the forum.

And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says: ‘Hearing you will hear and shall not understand, And seeing you will see and not perceive; For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their...

“I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts” (Hebrews 8:10) The Law of God in the New Testament. 1. "You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve" (Matthew 4:10). 2. "Little children, keep yourselves from idols" (1 John 5:21). "Since we are the...

How so? The brazen altar was fulfilled at Calvary. Do you know of any further activity of Christ as High Priest representing the other aspects of atonement?

    Go, And Sin No More?

If I remember correctly, "atonement" was a word John Wycliffe made up because he felt "reconcile" was inadequate to express the idea of the atonement process.

    Go, And Sin No More?

Shucks. I thought I was on top of the prayer thing. :( How about John 3:16? You do know that Scripture originally had no verses, right? So a key thought could be as short or as long as the writer or God Himself intended. Hermeneutics is just as much art as science.

    Go, And Sin No More?

And proud of it. If I'm known for anything, it's my incredibly shallow thought process. All of that deep stuff just hampers the ability to nip it in the bud. :D
