There are no Catholics in Heaven.

Mary believed in the tings Her Son taught. She was told about Him by the Angel. She was there the entire time. She was the catalyst for His first public miracle. She was there at the cross. She was there at Pentecost. What makes YOU think that she stopped believing in Him?? How do YOU know...

There are no Catholics in Heaven.

Since you don't seem to be able to understand what Jesus was saying in the Bread of Life Discourse - I'll approach it another way. In John 6:66 - many of his disciples LEFT Him that day and returned to their former way of life because they couldn't handle what Jesus was telling them. Jesus...

Then you're just being purposely obtuse because you can't argue the point.

    Is apostolic succession biblical?

And neither are those recorded by Philip Jenkins in his book. He is STILL a Protestant. And, as stated earlier - he explains that the absence of statistics was based NOT on lack of reporting of abuse cases in the Protestant churches - but the lack of insurance claims filed as compared to...

There are no Catholics in Heaven.

the Bread of Life Discourse in John 6, Jesus stated in NO uncertain terms: John 6:53-56 “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on...

And I've already told you repeatedly that the works we do in Christ, which are the will of the Father (Matt. 7:21), were prepared FOR us by God in advance (Eph. 2:10). That's why we cannot boast because they are NOT of our own. It doesn't matter to me if you refuse to believe this - because...

    Is apostolic succession biblical?

There are DOZENS of anti-abuse organizations out there. Why is this particular one the "Gospel Truth" above ALL others? As for Philip Jenkins' book, Pedophiles and Priests - he produces the facts fro the insurance companies, police agencies and the FBI. Besides - he's not Catholic and is not...

There are no Catholics in Heaven.

And as I've told YOU about a DOZEN times now - Eph. 2:10 says that the works that WE do in Christ were prepared FOR us by GOD. In other words, my clueless friend - it's ALL the work of GOD. We simply cooperate with those works. That's what makes us "sunergos" (co-workers) with God (1 Cor. 3:9...

There are no Catholics in Heaven.

We won't ever die if we remain faithful (Matt. 7:21, Matt. 24:13). And since when does "Remembrance" mean "metaphorical" or "symbolic"?? I bought a ribbon at my local mall in remembrance of what the Allied Troops did on D-Day and the money went to help War Veterans. They are REAL people and the...

There are no Catholics in Heaven.

That's NOT what the Holy Spirit said through Paul (1 Cor. 3:9, 2 Cor. 6:1).

There are no Catholics in Heaven.

WRONG. When I say "cooperating" - I am saying what PAUL said. Paul calls us "Sunergos" (co-workers) with God (1 Cor. 3:9, 2 Cor. 6:1). We COOPERATE with God - otherwise, we are disobedient.

At the Last Supper - Jesus gave them the BREAD that became His FLESH. It was tangible - not symbolic.

Nobody is "taking credit" for what HE prepared for us. We COOPERATE with what He prepared FOR us. I've had an easier time explaining this to 2nd grade Catechism students . . .

There are no Catholics in Heaven.

Nobody said that we're saved BY works. There you go LYING again. An essential element of faith is cooperating with the works that GOD prepared for us to do.
  15. BreadOfLife

There are no Catholics in Heaven.

YOUR words from post #170: I said we are saved BY Christ, THROUGH His Church. You need to STOP lying already . . .
  16. BreadOfLife

There are no Catholics in Heaven.

Yup. God PREPARED that FOR us (Eph. 2:10). Are you getting it now?
  17. BreadOfLife

There are no Catholics in Heaven.

NOT according to Jesus . . . John 6:53-58 So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. For my...

There are no Catholics in Heaven.

That's unfortunate - but thanks for clarifying.
  19. BreadOfLife

There are no Catholics in Heaven.

Not by your OWN works. ALL of the works we do in Christ are from God (Eph. 2:10). That's why we can't take any credit for them.

    Is apostolic succession biblical?

According to the book, Pedophiles and Priests by Protestant author, Philip Jenkins - it's not that cases of abuse were overly abundant in Catholic parishes vs. Protestant churches. It was a case of MONEY. The cases of abuse in Protestant churches were under-reported because there was just NO...
