    Apostolic councils?

Not at ALL. Both of the verses I gave you who a person who must be tested and singled out to be virtuous above the rest. That's pretty tough criteria . . .

    Is baptimal regeneration biblical?

WRONG again. First of all - I never said that "ALL" gifts of the Spirit involved water. That's a LIE of your own invention. I said that God has always used TANGIBLE means to convey grace to His people - and gave you a short list of examples. I also said that these tangible means were simply...

    Apostolic councils?

This is the kind of response I would expect from a child - and exactly why I asked you earlier how old you were . . .
  4. BreadOfLife

    Are you saved now?

That doesn't make ANY sense at all. I was responding to YOUR statement that: "I am just saying that no matter what you call it, which you addressed in your previous post, it is not authoritative nor even Christian." WHAT were you talking about in my "previous post"?

    Apostolic councils?

HOW so?? Ignatius recognized the importance of Deacons and held them in high regard. So does Scripture . . . Acts 6:3 Therefore, brethren, select from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may put in charge of this task. 1 Timothy 3:8-13 Deacons...

    Is baptimal regeneration biblical?

How is Biblical evidence against your claims a "non sequitur"?? That's the cop-out of the year - but I fully understand since your position is so indefensible . . .
  7. BreadOfLife

    Are you saved now?

And what did I say that is "not even Christian"?
  8. BreadOfLife

    Apostolic councils?

Deacons are much more that mere "assistants". They are clerics. Deacons have some - not all - of the faculties of a priest. Deacons can Baptize, they can and preach at Mass, they can officiate a wedding. These are NOT things that are allowed by the laity.

    Is baptimal regeneration biblical?

    - The Tree of Knowledge - The Flood - The Parting of the Sea - The Ark of the Covenant. - The Bronze Serpent - Manna - The Water of Baptism - The Eucharist - Anointing with Oil Shall I go on??

    Are you saved now?

And NOBODY said you did, I said that your posts were filled with LIES. and falsehoods. Nobody is accusing you of being Catholic . . .

    Apostolic councils?

First of all - you're WRONG about Deacons. Women were appointed deacons with very LIMITED faculties in the Early Church. The MAIN reason was Baptism. Since adult Baptisms were usually full immersions the candidate was usually in various states of undress. It was deemed inappropriate for a man...

    Is baptimal regeneration biblical?

It's not the water that regenerates us. It is THROUGH water that we are regenerated by the Holy Spirit. this is what Peter talks about in 1 Pet. 3:21. Water is the MEANS - not the ENDS. When Jesus cured the Blind Man - he COULD have simply said, "Open your eyes!" - and he would have been...

    Are you saved now?

What you've ALSO done here, maybe a "1000" time is LIE. On this and other threads I've exposed you. On another thread, I had to set you straight about history SEVERAL times and even on the difference between the Catholic Church vs. "Roman" Catholic, which doesn't even exist.

    Not faith alone?

To be honest - part of it is force of habit on my part - and some of it might even be laziness. In any case - it's just easier to abbreviate the Books of the Bible - but I'll keep your advice in mind . . ..
  15. BreadOfLife

    Apostolic councils?

What's the "Roman" Catholic Church? I belong to the "Catholic Church". "Roman" simply refers to the Liturgical Rite - of which there are some TWENTY that comprise the ONE Catholic Church. Among these are the Byzantine Rite, Melkite, Maronite, Coptic, Alexandrian, etc. NONE of them are "Roman"...

    Not faith alone?

Unless I'm mistaken - it sounds like you agree with my post. As for the links - I like to make people do their homework . . .

    Is baptimal regeneration biblical?

Ummmmm, talk about DENIAL . . . Tell me - WHAT part of the following is "pathetic exegesis" regarding Baptism? Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost. Is it the part...

    Not faith alone?

Faith IS a gift. Enduring in faith require our cooperation with God's grace (Matt. 24:13, 1 Cor. 1:8, 2 Cor. 2:15, 2 Cor. 7:1, Phil. 2:12, Heb. 12:14).
  19. BreadOfLife

    Are you saved now?

That's a very Biblical and Catholic understanding of Salvation. We continue to be saved as we cooperate with God's saving grace by enduring in faith (Matt. 24:13, 1 Cor. 1:8, 2 Cor. 2:15, 2 Cor. 7:1, Phil. 2:12, Heb. 12:14).

    Apostolic councils?

Perfect. NOW - show me the document, declaration or decree hat instituted the Catholic Church being created in 313. The Church has documents about EVERYTHING - so this should be easy for you. If you can't produce a document - then we'll just chalk it up to your having LIED yet again . . . For...
