I have seen many of them with cancers and other life taking illness. Sometimes it was time and sometimes not. One dear sister had a tumor in her brain which was malignant. People all over the country were praying for her. God healed her. The tumor could not be found by the doctors at all...

Perhaps a primary place in which to encounter our differences would be in what we identify as the "church". You quote verses of scripture about the church without explaining what the church is and who is part of it and who is not. Who knows these things among men?

What we have from God is certainly important, but what we do with what we have, I believe, is more important. People argue on both points on this forum as well as in other places. Here during this time allotted to us before physical death God is watching to see our direction and our purpose...

What is not acceptable is disobeying one's parents while still subject to those parents... just because someone else insists that the disobedience is harmless and that the rules of the parents are "mean". Even when no longer subject to one's parents, when does a person stop respecting those...
