As I understand it, all of us have been dead and if we have spoken at all, we have almost certainly spoken to dead men. Are our words spoken to dead men necessarily idle words?

His name is not simply a word formed by physical lips, tongue and vocal chords. People who cannot read and people who are unable to talk can be saved! What is meant when it said "gathered in my name"? It is not speaking about a word formed by our own physical lips, certainly!

Give God the glory! He is able in every situation. We need to trust Him and surrender to Him repeatedly as needed!

Thanks my friend and brother! We serve a mighty God!

There may always be trouble with translators, but never with God's interpretation! A man can read any translation of the Bible and still not understand what he reads. Consider this: "And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou...

This is the world of the old man of each of us. When we are born to woman we only have Hope. When we are born again or born from above, then we have encountered real Life, Life that need not ever end! I believe that one function of the new man of us is to finally and completely kill the old man...

Amen...and His Word! "For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven." Psalm 119:89 "Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away." Mark 31:31

Consider these: “The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.” Prov 15:3 “Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the...

"And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are." John 17:11

That thinking is not an evil thing if your heart is also open to God. Our thinking alone can and does lead us in trouble, which could be or become sin! The following words from a song penned by a man of God who passed from this life of flesh some about 20 years ago come to mind: "Lord, my heart...

Hello sister! Thanks for the hugs! "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world" John 16:33 Jesus did not overcome planet Earth! He overcame the world of his own flesh which was...

Who is the proper Interpreter to provide the proper translation? "How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. If any man speak in an unknown...

The world equals Israel? Or does it equal what each of had from our beginning as men of flesh born from dead parents? Would that not be more of a Jacob than an Israel? "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him...

God is bound by His own Word! [God's logic?] He gave men authority [what some name 'free will'?] over themselves to choose God's Way or the way of mammon. This authority remains in a man until the man runs out of the time allotted to him by God. God restrained by His own Word does force His...

God is right! Don't try to put God in the box of human logic. He will not fit. Sometimes God may use such logic to shows us things, but do not presume that God is bound by logic! "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are...

When a person hears and follows only the Holy Spirit, he always has the right answer, God's answer. People continue to nourish the 'old man' too often even after they have received the Holy Spirit. Most, [or all?] people habitually quench the Spirit of God often and take in a mixture of...

I believe, there are likely not that many who should truly be exempt. But... I do not get angry on the point with anyone. Anger is not one of my weaknesses. I thank God for that. With the unbelievers I understand the selfishness is simply the nature of the beast. With those who are, or say...

Ah, but I was speaking of a personal time extension... me asking for me, you for you, or that guy for that guy. What do I know about the multitudes? God knows about them better than I ever could. Only He has enough information to know when it is time to confuse the languages as at Babel or to...

You are doing fine Matthew. For many just expressing doubt about a trinity is an attack against a sacred cow. The trinity has not always been there even as an option for people. Some pulled it out of their Bibles and described it centuries perhaps before Luther nailed up his theses, but while...

Are you speaking of when He is due finally for all of mankind or for me? If planet Earth and its inhabitants endure for another 100 or 1000 years, what is that to me if I die before the sun goes down this evening? Again, today! "This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be...
