I believe in inner peace....but carry a big stick. Ex-military. Pacifistic theology is unique. And I think they believe that total Christian annihilation would be like the second coming of Christ. It could have happened in the 4th century, because that was the Roman intent. The United States...

Part of understanding history is understanding the time period. The biblical era was crazy violent and it did not get much better after that. Cities smelled like sewers and death. No real pain killers so the moans of cries of people sick and dying could usually be heard....people died along side...

No harm no foul....

Some of this is apples and oranges. The Church is never named in the Bible. Which is one of the reason that people have room to insert arbitrary names. Christ teaching produced The Way and the term Christian. We could definitely call these the first church or congregations. But even in the...

Just to make myself clear here.... I fully support the Catholic Church's decision to take back Jerusalem. In fact I believe they should have employed Yahweh's rules of war.....kill all that breaths and take the spoils of war and take custody of their cities. If we would have done that we would...

The Pope's call for a crusade in Middle East to take back Jerusalem. On November 27, 1095, Pope Urban II makes perhaps the most influential speech of the Middle Ages, giving rise to the Crusades by calling all Christians in Europe to war against Muslims in order to reclaim the Holy Land, with a...

The joke is on you......you need to do a study on Koine Greek. If someone was reading the Bible from the Koine Greek perspective he would be very confused. LOL Persons, places, and things are translated one way....and the rest LOL you better understand what the topic was about from the...

The concept of Christianity being universal came about early when salvation was opened up....offered to the world. Then there was nothing wrong with a Church naming itself after that concept. But when they try to get people to believe that the Church is as old as when the concept was first...

Ya a lot times people refer to the varies churches as denominations....what cha going to call them?......a special designation. As far as Christ founding the Catholic Church....we would not be in this thread if he founded a Church by name....giving His stamp of approval... wouldn't that make...

Yes there was......but not too many English words in them. It appears that you have trouble comprehending time periods and how history moves through them. Because you keep making one mistake after another.

Now they can. But a good part of them did not exist until the English language came along.

You do know that they were speaking English in early America.....right. Referring to Bathsheba as first lady would be wrong too. Are you saying it would be wrong to expect manners from a Catholic? I deny nothing, tell the truth.

The pope's proper title, according to the Vatican's website, is Bishop of Rome, Vicar of Jesus Christ, Successor of the Prince of the Apostles, Supreme Pontiff of the Universal Church, Primate of Italy, Archbishop and Metropolitan of the Roman Province. Title implied and title in use. Leonardo...

@amigo de christo @Jim B I worship with a lot of different denominations.....I look for a church that has a good spirit and good people, but I am not looking for perfection. Most denominations have the general idea and lead people to salvation, your beliefs do not have to be perfect to be...

Tell the Pope that..... LOL the game was over the first time I corrected you.

I would disagree because anybody....media or anyone that would refer to Pope Francis as just Francis would be considered wrong. And again for the 1000th time you cannot call people that lived before English existed Pope. Understand that, but the difference is the Church's intent to deceive...

Yes like a lot of languages it was a progression.....with various ancient aspects, even Phoenician. But when did English come into common use? Bibles were not written in obscure tongues, for example.... The first complete Bible in English was published abroad, most likely in Antwerp, in 1535...

You got dementia? THE WORD POPE WAS NOT WRITTEN IN THE 1ST CENTURY....IT WAS NOT SAID IN THE FIRST CENTURY!!!! IT IS ENGLISH AND ENGLISH DID NOT EXIST UNTIL THE 14TH CENTURY. LOU LOU LOU

He could not list the Popes from his own time because the word Pope is English and English did not exist in his time. He might list people they were referring to as fathers. But I would have to look into that.

Ok....define prove. And which Protestant denomination will you believe above the Catholic Church's rhetoric? And how do I prove they are Protestants?
