Matthew 12 31 “Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. 32 Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven...

I think that attacking each other defeats the purpose of coming together in the unity of Christ. This is a public forum and as such It is not a good witness to be attacking believers or other members of this board. It just shows a lack of maturity. Here's a rule of thumb. If you don't do it in...

Gee aspen.. it sounds as if you have lost your passion for the job. Sorry for your loss... Bless ya!

Gosh that reminds me of a situation where I was hired as a consultant for an arm of a Church that had a community Resource center. My main job was to apply for community funding for programs and projects that functioned from out of the center itself and this Church had many arms in the community...

Oh...I thought that it was relevant to the thread based on your quote below... Anyway...it's sounds kinda cool to have combined Churches supporting a common need....

The only ministries I have known to be paid are Pastor's and my last pastor worked full-time. He also ministered on Sundays and to the community during the week. Your ministry which may include pay, should really come out of the community you work in and then supported by the Church. Pastor got...

Here's an idea. The Church should stop paying people in leadership or in ministry...then those who volunteer will do so because they want to rather than being obligated and because they have the time and feel led to be involved. I have never been to a Church where the leadership or ministry are...

Please read this scripture again.... 14 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the...

Well articulated with no personal interpretations inserted and in context - well said! ^_^

This is not correct. We will be like angels, not as angels. Matthew 22:30, Mark 12:25. The similarity with Angels is based on the fact that we will not marry or be given in marriage. Angels cannot be kings and priests because these titles are of the earth Hebrews 1:7. There is only one priest in...

Again, it is the revelation rather than the man the Church of Christ is founded upon. The Church cannot be founded upon flesh and blood but Christ' blood alone who is the Son of our Father in heaven and redeemer of all those who believe in him by faith. The "rock" is a play on words given to...

I have only seen the anointing oil used a few times in Church. Mostly for those who need healing who are called up the front to be prayed for by the leadership team. I have seen people been completely healed using this technique. I have also seen complete healings with just straight out prayer...

I think that Christ's blood was not held against him due to his actions...whether he went to heaven or not is something we will never know until we get there ourselves... Blessings!

It is true that Christ founded his own Church which was revealed to Peter by revelation from heaven. Matthew 16 6 Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 And Jesus said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Barjona, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you...

Amen!

Well at least we both agree on something! ;)

Hi tifton, Welcome to CyB! :) Yes I have had this happen to me, where I have needed to go to someone and ask for forgiveness on various things that the Holy Spirit has revealed and pressed upon my heart. This pressing does not seem to let up until I have done something about it. The outcome has...

Although Jesus was born of the Holy Spirit, he did not begin his ministry until the Holy Spirit came down upon him after being baptized in the Jordon by John. Matthew 3:13-17. This was to fulfill all righteousness [the requirement of the law].

Being spirit filled is to receive "power" to witness Christ. It is enabling power from on high to do the work of the ministry. I agree with your synopsis.... :) Bless ya!

Hi Jacob. Welcome to CyB! :) I agree with your temple analogy defined as body, soul and spirit. http://www.christianityboard.com/blog/84/entry-541-popular-christian-theology-dispelling-the-myths/ I also believe that we are the last physical temple before Christ's comes again. The way, the...
