I have to agree with our friend @soul man here. One thing we cannot do is activate Grace. Because of Grace we can impute integrity to a brother...but we cannot activate it, as I see.

And look at many of the world leaders that hate the west and all we stand for..some now dead. Oh right..."Educated in Oxford or Cambridge" ( Uk) (Just like weapons..we give to them, and it is used against us. Hoisted on our own flag pole..)

Oh you could well have been replying to Reggie ...but this Site is "open season" and we all jump in any place any time :D LOL I know what you mean about being tired. Even last night I woke up every hour, some time less...some nights I can't sleep until 3 am. So, in the evening when I am on...

God has been so merciful in giving us wisdom and time to "be prepared". Spiritually I mean. :) I am sure quite a few of us had days way back, when he harkened to the voices telling us to stock pile food , water and such like..been there, done that..and now eaten all that was stock piled back in...

Yes, we are blessing indeed. A rich life. And good to stop a moment and be thankful . :)

Thanks for jumping in on these posts Mark. I find them all thought provoking.

Trivia When I wrote the phrase "down a peg or two "I wondered where that came from. I found. Quote :- It is interesting though that all the early citations of the phrase have a religious context; for example: Pappe with An Hatchet, 1589 - "Now haue at you all my gaffers of the rayling...

Thanks...interesting...I will have to 'dig deeper'..because as you say...it was taught to us 'from the beginning' of our Christian walk. I guess when we think of Isaiah ..it kinda lends to that idea, repentance godward, not manward. 6:5 "Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a...

I have heard some preaching about the "Baptism of fire" in my day. But non that I found convincing, or even provable in the scriptures.

Well , lets hope it is happening in all of our countries...and our own especially!! Here's hoping! It is about time some of them saw the handwriting on the wall in ref to their own future, and that of their children.

GodsGrace and I need you in another thread...did you see our tags? In the Confession thread that Aspen started. We need your 'take' on our comments there. So get your hiney over there, if you haven't already done so....pretty please.:)

Oh that sounds delightful. So I am old enough to be your mother!! My kids were born in the sixties. :) As I look at it, you and my kids still had some 'safe freedoms'...although I still said " Don't talk to strangers" when they went off to the park to play. Because I am biased, I still...

. . . .

I just caught @bbyrd009 question above to @amadeus So it caused me to go back to the original quote. Obviously I cannot agree.. "ONLY scripture is the Word?!!" No way. I know for truth because once in my lifetime I have heard the audible voice of the Lord. He did not speak a scripture...

I am pretty useless myself...:D My grandchild have taught me almost everything I know!! lol I have a little black note book where I write down " How to do ------" That helps :)

I was saying about King Saul, not Solomon. Also I am not sure about Judas. 99% of Christians write him off...I can't. I wouldn't dare to say who won't be in the Kingdom. o_O I'm sure God has some surprises up His sleeve!! :)

Good point. It does sound a little bit as if confession is more than " against the local body of people...but sin in general maybe. Hummm Now you have got me musing upon that. I wonder what our friend @bbyrd009 would say about it...he has strong views on "confessing." But James does seem to...

Intersting post. I'm not sure that I have seen that it becomes a war. But maybe 'war' is anytime one 'side' kills another side of another religion or opinion. For decades I have believed that they will empty all the prisons and put the Christians in prisons and mental facilities. That is...

@Taken Isn't it time for you to rest in that you have said many times what you think of the Catholics beliefs? So, you don't agree with their religion. Just arguing around in circles with people who are quite happy in their God and their way of worship etc seems very disrespectful to...

I know...it seems to take twice at least to get it...sometimes it does, sometimes not.. many people have noticed it. :( Maybe the last software update changed something?
