They are wrong when they replace, or displace, the commandments of God. KJV Matthew 15:6-9 6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. 7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, 8 This...

At least you recognize it is tradition, and not biblically grounded. That's a good start.

Yep. We are all temples... Just not all of God.

Davy, where have you been? This thread is over 1000 posts long... Those texts you quoted above have been repeatedly quoted by every Sunday keeper on this thread possibly 3 or 4 times each, with each one being responded to with explanations which clearly and scripturally reveal that none of those...

Just gotta say, so proud of New Zealand being 13th in the world in the medal tally at the Olympics. And well done Australia also being in 6th place. I think per Capita, both Nations can be pretty chuffed.

I used to play representative rugby at junior level. The rules today are incredibly complicated, especially in the scrums. I was a hooker. Things used to be so much simpler.

Cheers.

In other words. What is the link between the pagan Roman empire which in the prophecies clearly continues from the time of Paul all the way to the second coming? Where is Rome in the 11th century? Where is Rome in the 16th century? Where is Rome, and for that matter the remnants of all the other...

That is a truth which generically speaking alludes to most instances. But in war and conquest, in the rise and fall of empires, this is not always so, and in the specific prophecy of Daniel and Paul, Satan is at work through all the powers of the world conniving and establishing the mystery of...

Did not Babylon for a time hold back Meda-Persia? Did not Persia for a time hold back Greece? Did not Greece for a time hold back Rome? The early church fathers recognized, while living during the time of the Roman empire, that when Rome, like all powers eventually do, will "fall away", there...

You could see her expressions before her jumps in her preparation. Thought she was going to burst out crying every time. Very emotional.

The passage from Zechariah certainly starts that Christ stands physically upon the Mount of Olives. But the timing is your own. Revelation speaks of the descent of the New Jerusalem to the earth when the Zechariah text takes place... After the millennium. You are right, this is off topic and...

Why do you demand the above "explicit scriptural" teaching of others while your own church uses allusion and mere references and tradition in support of her own teachings? Aaaaahh. We know the answer to this. Because your religion is not a religion of scripture, but one of tradition which...

I suspect I'll be in bed asleep by the time you get back. It's 2:20am here. Just a short comment tree the temple. Paul's prophecy says, the temple of God as being the place where the son of perdition takes up residence. I understand your perspective that in your view, the "old man of the flesh"...

Good to hear. Can we address the actual posts instead of second guessing the direction. And confusing the discussion? I've been down this route before, but never actually made it to the end. The Catholic apologists on various forums hate, no despise, this topic. Bible prophecy the way it was...

Interesting. An apologist in disguise. You want to scuttle this thread because I am now your enemy because I tell you the truth?

Which when removed releases the Antichrist?

I agree. And a physical temple had never been on my mind, nor was it suggested. You started off so well, but now you suggest the temple of God is a man dead in trespasses and sins? The temple of God is that old man crucified with Christ? I see no logic or biblical sense in that whatsoever...

So let me summarize what those early church fathers believed, and why. First, they were basing their beliefs on what Paul had himself prophesied, which they neatly tied into the prophecies of Daniel. Daniel 2, and Nebuchadnezzar's vision of the statue, gives us the framework for all subsequent...
