I haven't personally but was quite close a few times when an itinerant Pastor used to preach at our Church in monotone. My mom however, used to fall off to sleep in her Church often. In fact, we watched a video of her Church service once and the videographer caught her on camera...she still...

I do not think that any Church in our country holds that many members. The largest being approximately 5-6000 members.

Not all Pentecostal style preaching is a show of lights and about money. You cannot make a judgment based on American style Pentecostal preachers and lump them all together as if they are all the same world-wide...they are not, believe me... Jeremiah was a young man when God called him and...

Indeed! he obviously does not consider his responsibility toward his flock very seriously...allowing someone who is not a Christian to speak to his congregation of 8000 is very unwise.

I am going to take a power nap cos I have a graveyard shift that I am rostered on tonight...

I think there was a lack of communication on both sides. In my country you cannot carry a gun or any form of weapon on your person at all unless you are part of the "Armed Offenders Squad." and they only come when there's a shooting going on or a possible shooting. Shalom!!!

Well "Praise God!" :) It's late Monday afternoon [4.41pm] and its beginning to get cold again... I think that we are in for a frost tomorrow morning

no... I had never heard of this. Who is Harold Rivera? We are pretty much isolated in this part of the world however, we did have lots of stuff coming from Jack Hayford "Focus on the Family" around that time and Derek Prince was quite popular here. Bless ya!

Hmmm...definitely food for thought! Thanks guys! ...and well said!

Slept right through it Rocky!... ^_^ I must say though, these earthquakes are getting more frequent and they are getting a lot closer to my neck of the woods  Bottom of the North Island at the moment and we had one recently in the central north island centered around Mt Te Aroha. Now that's...

Despite the unknown details of this situation...the responsibility still lands back at the Church who baptized her. They may have already been in contact with a local Church or started some form of communication regarding her continued walk in the newly formed faith...who knows...but the reality...

Oh...that's sad Rocky  I'm sorry to hear that... selene - most on-line commentaries state that Delilah was indeed a Philistine from the Valley of Sorek of the Philistines...

No...the responsibility goes back to that Church and how they will apply that baptism to her continued walk and faith in Jesus... I hope they have thought about this or at least start dialing and get her into a Church body in her local area. Blessings!!!

My mistake...I was getting the wives mixed up...One wife was from the Philistine camp... :)

The Eunuch was an Ethiopian proselyte. He was already a part of the Jewish synagogue in Jerusalem because he was returning from worshiping there when Philip talked with him re: the book of Isaiah. Not long after that it was said that Cush experienced a huge revival... I hope that she finds a...

I would say that she was moved in her spirit when watching the on-line Church service and decided to be baptized in that Church. Most of the Churches I have been associated with, will not baptize a person without them going through some form of lesson on baptism and it's meaning and significance...

Oh no doubt Selene - but Samson should not have been looking for a wife in the camp of the Philistines, in the first place...and there are some things that cannot be undone... I can recall another situation in the bible where a man of God prophesied against the altar in Bethel and the King...

Rocky, I believe that the New Jerusalem, the Holy City coming down out of heaven is the bride [Revelation 21:2] and we are the wedding guests Revelation 19:6, 7, 8, 9. :) Now I could be wrong but I have not heard any eschatological thesis that has caused me to think otherwise. Also the temple...
