    All things have become new.

I was not addressing the overall topic that Paul was addressing, but rather referring to a fact regarding those who are saved (born of the Spirit) which he eluded to. He referenced the living "in Christ" as being separate from the dead in Christ, until He comes. That difference is part of what...

    All things have become new.

Not that you deserve the consideration after blathering away with more behavior unbecoming of a Christian, but no, you are not hearing yourself. So for the sake of those who may continue reading on "your thread" (for crying out loud), I will explain your error: When you quote Paul saying...

    Can people in Heaven know?

The time-bound nature of one living in the world, would make one wonder. But the timeless nature of God and those in His presence, does not work that way. This is made clear by Paul's comment, that "to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:8 If one is able...

    ...And the last part:

    All things have become new.

No...I not only saw it, I quoted it. Perhaps it is you who are not awake, and did not read my whole post...and where the seed was born that causes you to accuse me of following commentaries rather than the word of God, from which you now bear fruit.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

There is no honest reckoning in that response. The scriptures say that the by the same measure we use, so shall it be measured to us. So be it.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

You are not "rightly handling the word of truth." What you have quoted only pertains to "the dead in Christ" of whom Christ was the Last. But for we of whom He is "the First born of many sons" born of the spirit of God, "it is finished", for we "have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer...

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

This has already been discussed. This is the issue of "rightly dividing the world of truth", which you have not done. There are "the dead in Christ", and also "the living in Christ." But you have mixed the two, when they actually come to Christ differently. Thus Paul's counsel to correctly...

    All things have become new.

Thank you. I would say, the common objection and the adoption of a different doctrine against these truths as some prescribe to, is quite simply a lack of understanding the hard saying, that in being born [again] of the spirit of God, and thus "saved", that "we [actually] "were crucified" and...

    What is Predetermined?

Stop calling names and acting unbecoming of a Christian, or I will report you. I answered both your questions here:

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

Let's walk through it. For which I will ask you: Was Jesus wrong to give the Holy Spirit the title of "Helper" and to call Him "He" (John 14:16), as one would speak of a person? Or was He wrong to command his disciples, saying, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing...

    All things have become new.

Being "alive and remain" has to do with salvation, alive in the Spirit, but remaining in the world-- which is the topic of discussion. As for the struggle of those who struggle, Paul confessed that he too struggled under the same problem, which (as you say) was after he was saved. He then...

    What is Predetermined?

I have answered both of those questions for you already.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

You are not paying attention. There is no way one can twist scripture to say that God has providence over His own word-- which is what I was saying. To the contrary, it does take a considerable amount of twisting and a lack of faith, to imagine that He does not.

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

Yes, that is what is written. But by your words, it is apparent that you do not full understand what you have quoted, while there is a greater spiritual meaning which you seem to be reluctant to enter into. I recommend you stop resisting the Holy Spirit (Acts 7:51). This is His hour.
  16. ScottA

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

What this assumes is that men directed God, rather than the other way around. But it is rather God whom has dominion over His own word, not those/we men who are prone to lose our way. This is in spite of our weaknesses, that by our weakness, He is made perfect. For this reason Jesus told us to...

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

That is fine, but it does not address the issues that have come up in this thread and topic. You are lumping together things regarding salvation that we are counseled to properly handle (rightly divide). What you are doing has the effect of taking away from that one truth you speak of. But I...

    What is Predetermined?

You again are not quoting properly. Nonetheless, your lack of understanding does not mean everything is "double speak ", it just shows that you are only leaning on your own understanding. You have left Jesus because of hard sayings.
  19. ScottA

"Salvation" is the gift of Eternal Life - it's FOREVER.

You have not reconciled the two different subjects of scripture, but only picked one and disregarded the other. All that does is mean you have jumped to the end beyond where are not and where Jesus said we cannot yet go. And this you do for lack of understanding, against what the scriptures say...

    All things have become new.

No, but rather what Paul testified of his own struggle (as it is with all "who are alive and remain", meaning all who are saved but remain in the world), was well after his encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus, after which I understand it was about three years before he began his...
