    Sound Doctrine

The church is like a group of friends who function together as the friends of Jesus. A Christian worker is a job description. Just like construction worker. No one says..."Hi, construction worker Jim." They just say "hi Jim." No need of special garments or holy rings. No pointy hats. The...

    Sound Doctrine

A person is not their function. Is a construction worker a job description or title? So it is with a worker of God. No, the bible is not speaking in religious terms. Men just understand it that way...because they are religious. I don't remember the priests name....but the RCC is the most...

    Life Out Of Death

Jesus didn't have an old man...but He did have a natural man. Otherwise He would not have needed training. Jesus also prayed...not My will but Yours be done. How can this be? Well Jesus had a natural man as we have. He was fully human. Jesus perfected the victory over the natural man by a new...

    The Mystery of Iniquity

A car has both a gas pedal and a brake pedal. One without the other is disfunctional. The Roman army prized disciplina (the brake pedal) AND virtas (virtue...the gas pedal). I am trying to convey here an attitude of faith that Jesus praised in the centurion who understood these things very...

    The Mystery of Iniquity

LOL You see nothing at all. Look in the mirror and know what religious indoctrination looks like. A caricature of what you think you know.

    The Mystery of Iniquity

Not at all. I am responding to your criticism of my in depth research that doesn't line up with your indoctrination. When you hear something you haven't heard put in that particular way in your previous indoctrination...you think it's evil. But this is not like Christ in the slightest way...

    The Mystery of Iniquity

The best resources are ones that have no conflict of interest. So then YOUR better resources would be those that line up with what you already believe. A dogmatic person is not someone to be trusted to do any kind of research. Proving their point is all they seek for. I trust the truth enough...

    Hebrew has no Vowels?

Anything older than the DSS is found only in fragments...little bits here and there. Like the Nash Papyrus. The MSS is a whole codex compiled and preserved by the Masoretes around 1000 AD. When you compare the MSS and the DSS there is very little difference...except where scribal errors may...

    The Mystery of Iniquity

And I showed you a better way to understand it...from the perspective of people at that time. You are influenced by contemporary thinking and religious dogmatism. It blinds you to any possible understanding that goes deeper than the fast food treatment of contemporary attention spans as revealed...

    The Mystery of Iniquity

OK You said I was falling into grievous error by translating Greek words (like the biblical arete) from the bible in their cultural context AT THAT TIME IN HISTORY but you allow the bible to be understood by an English dictionary in our much more modern context (as if the bible is fully...

    How does God lead?

It may be of interest to note that when a person is deaf they need to see a communication in writing. People who can't, don't or won't hear from the Lord directly are limited to the written word. Of course they will defend this way of communication vigourously, as this is all they have to go on.

    The Natural Man

This is a follow-up thread to the thread entitled "The Inner Man." Other ways of calling the natural man are ...the carnal man, or outward man. This subject merits a deeper study as the natural man, above all else, gets in the way of spiritual growth in Christ. There is nothing more difficult...

    What constitutes Apostolic tradition?

Paul tells us that we are to follow the traditions as laid down by the apostolic example. But what constitutes apostolic tradition? I will begin by saying that the primacy of spiritual life and anointing in church leadership is upheld in that tradition. In our time a lot of people won't even...

    The Mystery of Iniquity

You are deriving biblical truth from non-biblical sources? You don't allow others to do what you permit yourself. Let's see...who was accused of doing that...in the bible?
  15. Episkopos

    Sound Doctrine

The bible speaks of function...not offices and people with special titles and robes. If something is spiritual....then it is not something to be understood clearly in this world. The problem with the man-made institutions is that it appeals to the senses. As one of the leading young priests...

    The Mystery of Iniquity

I'm actually not "making" anything as a human. But, your whole scheme is based on this. So who is really "making" something of it?
  17. Episkopos

    The Mystery of Iniquity

LOL...so you're saying you don't understand...but in your own carnal way of putting things. How can a person think they know what grace is...that never uses it in communication??? You really don't have a handle on what prompts your own behaviour.
  18. Episkopos

    How does God lead?

You use private interpretation as your basis for forming a religious opinion. I don't think a human perspective means anything.
  19. Episkopos

    The Mystery of Iniquity

You are always taking away from the word...so it appears that way to you. I am INCLUDING the whole counsel of God...always.

    The Mystery of Iniquity

You aren't seeing that iniquity didn't start in 2 Thes. Take a look at the thickness of the bible. Now start doing actual seeking through ALL of it. And praying helps too. ;)
