I've built the presupposition, or behold?

All of a sudden @theefaith , we get three long spam posts full of religious superstition and assumption laden upon presumption. Are you going away somewhere? Is this a final unload of residual information overload?

You promote this garbage and have the audacity to defend your church's murder of heretics? Seriously? And you wonder why the reformers thought your church needed reformation. So blind.

And how does that scripture justify genocide?

You think He can't defend Himself?

So, the possibility of having ones name scrubbed from the book of life is merely a scare tactic? An empty threat? The person who has an adulterous relationship with a mistress and does without repenting only suffers in this world? And no need to write an essay on "we can do what we like". That's...

Right. So folk like crooked televangelists and big time Christian apologists and pastors etc who fleece their flocks , because they are born again right, can commit adultery, lie, steal, discredit the name of God, and yet not be a sinner because for them, there's no more law right?

But the question is, who was He before His incarnation?

@theefaith before quoting the so called "Apostolic fathers' I suggest you test their teachings in accordance to scriptural criteria... "To the law and to the testimony. If they speak not according to this word, there is no light in them". Isaiah 8:20

Until you recognise the divinity of the Son of God, any discussion on the efficacy of the atonement vis a vis God/man/both is pointless. In the beginning John opened his gospel by writing “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”...

By "church" I am too assume you mean to be understood that the Catholic Church and Christ are one. I would also assume such "oneness" includes those times when through the use of political assignations and the armies thereof, over a time period covering centuries from the time of Clovis to the...

The following clip reflects one of the many battles that local indigenous Maori faced in New Zealand. This land is in the middle of Auckland, New Zealand's largest city. My wife was there, aged 18 at the time. Re:visit: 1977 The Bastion Point occupation

Throughout the Old Testament. Throughout the whole of scripture. The High Priest who made the final yearly atonement for Israel was the representative of the messiah, Christ, the Son of God. No-one else had the authority to enter the Most Holy Place to present the blood before the Ark containing...

This is the first time I have read anything of the details. I have no idea who that woman is nor her accusations nor the context surrounding the revelations. How do you know he didn't confess?

I seriously wonder if people become atheists after learning from Christians they willingly worship and rejoice in a God who delights in tormenting sinners all eternity. If an atheist informs me that they don't believe in such a God, I would respond by informing him that I don't believe in that...

I am surprised at the silence within Christian circles regarding this scandal. I didn't know about this until a couple of weeks ago, and there's only a passing mention of it in the forums. The message I think we all need to learn in this is don't trust man. However, I dunt think it makes...

But the law that was transgressed is a Divine law, and that transgression must be atoned for by someone equal to the authority of that law.

I was raised Catholic, but came to know Christ at age 23. I then returned to the Catholic Church having not darkened it's doors since leaving school. I attended mass twice, and only twice... The Jesus I had just met for the first time wasn't there.

I have no issue with your reference as Michael being the OT name for Jesus. No where does scripture suggest that Michael is a mere angel... Archangel means head of the angels... Just as Biden being supreme commander of the armed forces does not mean he's a soldier. But that aside. Why can you...

Are you aware @theefaith that the principle focus of your posts, all of your posts, from beginning to end, and thus the purpose thereof, is to direct people to your church? Even when you mention the name of Christ Jesus, it is with the purpose of exalting, glorifying, and magnifying your...
