    g'day

Daniel 9:24 - '... to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins ...'

In 457 BC the definitive decree was given to build and restore Jerusalem. The day for a year principle of Prophecy is well known. 40 days the spies sought out the land so 40 yrs wandering in the desert, etc etc. The NCV translation does it for you here below:- NCV: 25 “Learn and understand...

Daniel 9:24 - '... to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins ...'

In my view post No. 57 is unworthy of consideration. The poster does not understand the basis of the prophecy nor its objective.

Are there any canners/fermenting people here?

Are there any canners/fermenting people here? I've wondered about the fermenting bit......if they keep it up long enough would they become alcoholic? :)

    What is a "new body"?

that as well! .... I try to imagine 'no one will take your joy' ...so, I'm not adverse to bumping whether deliberate or accidental....into or against.

Why food is the best medicine

ahhhhhhh, I haven't got the halo yet but I'm workin' on it with carrot and celery juice. :)

    What is a "new body"?

What is a "new body"? no body....doesn't have any appeal......annnd, image belongs to the downward trajectory. Seems Jesus ate fish in his new body. Maybe there'll be no waste?....and reproduction? hmmm, seems not .....buuuut, thought travel is on the cards.....in any case, when my body bumps up...

    God Sings Over You

God Sings Over You whew! ....if it wasn't for this awareness .......I'd be trapped.

Why food is the best medicine

Daniel 9:24 - '... to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins ...'

Nahhh, this doesn't even begin to look right....in fact it I'm certain its BS.....an interpretation plucked out of an imagination which has nothing to do with anything consistent in scripture.

    "Milk" is Doctrine, "Meat" is.....?

I'm persuaded all God's children struggle with the default position ie, having the tendency to retaliate to justify and flatter ourselves. Our struggle is indicative that an opposed principle is at work in and on our hearts. Jesus struggled as well, revealed in the fact that he was tempted. I've...

    "Milk" is Doctrine, "Meat" is.....?

'Meat' is not even describable in a way that can be understood by those thrashing around in the milk pond. The copious repetitive thrashing reveals this.

Lovest Thou Me hmmm, yeahhhh....I reckon you've got salvageable qualities.

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

smoke screens ensure the questions that need to be asked don't appear on the radar and if they are asked they get shuffled to the side.....all under the guise of 'the bible' says so.

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

It was different in that it was not couched in 'Law' as in, do this, don't do that. God desires worship from the heart as defined in his statement to the woman at the well in John 4, specifically vs 23. It is that way in heaven. Love never coerces in any form. Law is relative to the situation...

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

Delivered to Moses to and for man. A concession as was eye for an eye, tooth for tooth....as was divorce. What it is not is a treatise on how God must operate or how he operates. Understanding context does not constitute rewriting scripture.....rather it clarifies matters particularly when Jesus...

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

Ezekiel 28:12-19 I deduct from this reply you sympathise with the JW position? is this correct? ......and may I add....what is impossible for man is possible for God....Luke 18:27 God's statement to Adam and Eve 'the day you eat thereof you will surely die' is a statement of consequence as...

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

It pivots on the way (how) atonement and payment are seen AJ....please hear me out. None of the progeny of Adam had any say in the inherited, shall I call it, deficits. They had no say on being born on this planet; they were given a hand they did not ask for; death being their final lot.....none...

Silly question, but a thought provoking one:

I think there is another way of seeing it apart from the blood/payment narrative. A way that vindicates God most beautifully.
