Teresa of Avila and Watering the Garden

Right. And if you know what they mean, life is so much easier. Are we righteous? Are we Holy? Have we repented?

The other member is not asking Episkopos for clarification...I also do this. She's asking HIM for a teaching.... No one should be here to teach... No one here has a PhD after their name... No one here is any more spiritual than I am. (or any one of us).

Teresa of Avila and Watering the Garden

LOL I like learning from other persons... but when someone says they don't like learning from MEN.... and then they go to ONE PERSON for their learning...it does lead me to believe they're somewhat confused about their statement.

Poll: Best age for first tattoo?

What does polygamy have to do with a tattoo? I can't keep us with all the posting....

Teresa of Avila and Watering the Garden

You've said enough and I've read enough to know that you don't know what some words mean: RIGHTEOUS HOLY REPENT

I think you added about being painted into a corner AFTER I gave you a like. So far, I've NEVER painted myself into a corner because I know my theology well for various and sundry reasons.

Teresa of Avila and Watering the Garden

Of course. Justification: God declares us just in His eyes....as if we'd never sinned. Righteous: We are declared right with God. An unsaved person cannot be declared righteous (in theology - the study of God).

Teresa of Avila and Watering the Garden

Not necessary.... You and the other member have been at this for a few pages now. There's no need to have this debate since neither one of you is properly representing what righteousness is and what holiness is. I know that it's confusing you as to their meaning... and I know you wish to remain...

Teresa of Avila and Watering the Garden

I posted scripture...you could take it or leave it. If you plan on becoming as Holy as God... Good luck!

You didn't tag me, I almost missed the above. If I'm silly in my statements SBG, there sure are a lot of silly Christians out there. You don't have to agree with me,,,but it's not necessary to call me silly either. YOU are the one who is having difficult with this...not me. You're having...

Teresa of Avila and Watering the Garden

How did you learn about the Trinity? From your own study? How did you learn that Jesus is God? From your own study? Must we choose between the Holy Spirit and theologians? Do they NOT HAVE the Holy Spirit? Were prophets theologians? Was Paul one? Were the Apostolic Fathers theologians, or...

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

Church Militant. Yeah. I had a nice debate with him once. He writes on catholic forums every now and then...maybe not so much anymore. Got banned because they loved him so much,,,but we were having a nice discussion. Too much, will get back to you later.

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

Receiving communion in the state of on-going mortal sin is a canon law? OR,,,is it a matter or morals and faith? If I cannot receive communion in a state of mortal sin one day.... And the next day I can.... This is not a change in doctrine? I don't plan on debating this. If you write back...

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

If you know what I'm getting at, I'm done with this debate. Did you post the asterisked remark in Chapter 8? It doesn't look like it. I'm saying there is a change in doctrine. You could believe what you will. In fact, I'm not sure what you believe since you didn't state it clearly and I'm done...

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

Thanks BoL, So kind of you. But, fortunately for me, I don't require your assistance.

See my post 143. You know E, theologians do know more than you do. You don't have to agree with them, but it's not correct to spread the incorrect meaning of two words that we know the meaning of. I'm rather shocked that you don't know their meaning, TTYTT.

Teresa of Avila and Watering the Garden

Hey SBG, I hate to get into this conversation because it's really not necessary. The reason you have a problem is because you'd rather argue about what the terms mean.. rather than just accepting what they mean. Was the explanation of mine too simple for you? Does it HAVE to be complicated...

!!! Yes, pretty funny. Thanks for posting. :) P. S. In Italy there's an intermission for movies too. :(

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

What would you call these?: 1. The hours I must refrain from eating before receiving communion (for a healthy person). 2. Communion being received with an ongoing mortal sin.

Teresa of Avila and Watering the Garden

Right. I thought of this too,,,but pastors are such good actors if they have to be, and so it becomes more difficult. In a personal life I think it's easier to see. I can think of some that go to church every Sunday but are filled with hate and unforgiveness. So, of course I agree with...
