Without getting into specifics, I do not believe the above. For instance: Is the Assumption consistent? Was Mary truly born without sin? (O.S.) Is purgatory in the bible? Did men confess themselves to a priest in 100 AD?

I don't know very much about the Orthodox church,,,but if you're stating that it believes that agreement to a text means it cannot then be changed...I'd have to agree with that too. The CC makes changes but claims they are not changes but enlightenment, or progressive revelation but not NEW...

I don't know what people that just go to Mass believe because not much is taught at the Mass and most people don't really care. But catholics that study their religion know that Jesus is not sacrificed at every Mass as Protestants believe.
