The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

And now, you’re just being dishonest. Thank GOD that Paul and John weren’t. They explained that although they were fully committed to Christ – they STUMBLED on occasion because their sanctification was not complete (Rom. 7:14-25, 1 Tim. 1:15, 1 John 1:8). They understood and explained that we...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

You speak out of both sides of your mouth. First, you say that you are sin-free – THEN you say that you have “indwelling” sin. Which is it?? As for 1 John 3:6 – this is about living a sinful life, in context – not about stumbling, which ALL people do.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Uh huh - "IF" you ALWAYS do these things. YOU stumble like everybody else. 1 John 1:8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

We are absolutely sanctified by His once-for-all sacrifice. And EVERY reputable Protestant scholar would tell you that sanctification is a LIFELONG process (1 Cor. 1:8, 2 Cor. 2:15, 7:1, Phil. 2:12, Heb 12:14). Context is never the friend of a Scriptural cherry-picker like yourself. As I told...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

That's great - but Scripture would respond to you with the following . . . 1 John 1:8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. Good luck with that . . .

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Cherry-picking Scripture instead of reading it in its proper context is precisely why you are so confused. Don’t just quote Scripture - LEARN what it means . . .

    Yes, Aspen - I'm "jealous". Good grief . . .

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Read it in CONTEXT instead of cherry-picking . . . 2 Pet. 1:5-10 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; For this very reason, make every...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

WRONG. When we cone to Christ in Baptism - we are made CLEAN from sin (Acts 2:38). Anything that happens afterward is on US. We have a way out through repentance in Christ - but we have SIN in our life because of our OWN fault. THIS is what John and Paul were as talking about.

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

Once again - EVERY ONE of these verses is a word of encouragement - NOT a guarantee. "I pray that you are found blameless . . ." "Him that is ABLE to keep you from falling . . ." As for "having made perfect those whom He has sanctified" - we are still in the PROCESS of BEING sanctified. Only...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

was writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. He didn't lie or exaggerate. It means very little to me how YOU perceive his writing. What he wrote speaks for itself. John ALSO admitted that he had sin in his life (1 John 1:8) and said that if we say we have NO sin - we deceive...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

And I never made the claim that we HAD to sin. We stumble because although we are being MADE holy and perfect - none of us is. Your second point about sin in RED is also false: "Don't have to + don't want to = cannot." This is unBiblical nonsense. Paul's entire message in Romans 7 is about his...

Correct. I believe in the Triune Godhead - not multiple gods.

That's what I thought. Maybe you should prayerfully consider why you're not conservative in today's permissive culture of death . . .

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

REALLY?? So NO true Christian commits sin?? That’s anti-Biblical nonsense – for which I already gave about TEN passages of Scriptural proof (Matt. 5:13, Matt. 7:21, Rom. 11:22, Heb. 10:26-27, 2 Peter 2:20-22, 2 Peter 3:17, Rev. 3:5, Rev. 22:19). Paul admitted to sin in his life (Rom. 7:13-25...

Rubbish. And although your political opinions may be nuanced – your response is anything BUT. It’s a flat-out condemnation of people with different opinions than your own. You call abortion a “wedge issue” – yet you fail to admit that it is the Left that made it a wedge issue. It was never a...

    End Time Christian Zionism

I didn’t say you were. I asked you whether you preferred the Leftist whack jobs that Obama put into place who constantly overturn abortion bans, uphold virtually every prisoner release program and pervert the Constitution. Your initial post was one of disdain for the conservative judges...

The myth of grace-only & easy-believism shattered forever

That’s not accurate. First of all – too many people – especially Calvinists – are confused about God’s “foreknowledge”. His foreknowledge doesn’t mean that He ordained the future – but that He knows it. God is outside of time and sees ALL of history simultaneously. He already knows what...

    End Time Christian Zionism

Soooooo - you prefer the Leftist whack jobs that Obama put into pace? The same whackos who have sided with just about every criminal release program, don't understand the Constitution and are constantly overturning abortion bans?? Sounds like you have your priorities screwed up . . .

Does the day of Christ resurrection tell us to worship on Sunday?

And yet, you quoted a completely different document to make it sound worse. Typical anti-Catholic maneuver . . .
