Does the day of Christ resurrection tell us to worship on Sunday?

Jesus transferred HIS supreme Authority to His CHURCH (Matt. 16:18-19, Matt. 18:15-18, Luke 10:16, John 16:12-15, John 20:21-23). He declared that WHATEVER His Church loosed or held bound on earth would also be loosed or held bound in Heaven. When His Church declares a truth – it is done so...

Does the day of Christ resurrection tell us to worship on Sunday?

More of Alexander Hislop’s nonsense. The vessel that holds the consecrated host is called a monstrance. The design symbolizes the glory of God – not sunbeams. Catholics don’t worship the sun – and any attempt to falsely accuse the Church of this idiotic nonsense is completely unsubstantiated.

Does the day of Christ resurrection tell us to worship on Sunday?

Your ignorance is astounding. First of all - Christmas and Saturnalia have nothing to do with each other. The pagan celebration of Sol Invictus and Saturnalia goes from December 17th and ends on 23rd. It wasn’t even adopted until the Roman Emperor Aurelian made it official in 274 AD. The...

Does the day of Christ resurrection tell us to worship on Sunday?

That's fine - but you're not disregarding anything from me. You're disregarding the Word of God . . .

The Doctrine of Purgatory in Catholic Biblical Perspective

Once again - YOU came after me. I merely put you in your place. If you can't take the response - don't go on the attack . . .

The Doctrine of Purgatory in Catholic Biblical Perspective

That's fine - but don't abuse Scripture to defend the illegal activities of your paramilitary cult. Funny how you can dish it out all day - but you can't take it . . .

Does the day of Christ resurrection tell us to worship on Sunday?

Once again - your claim perverts Scripture: 2 Thess 2:15 "Stand firm and hold fast to the Traditions you were taught, whether by an ORAL STATEMENT or by a letter from us." This verse equates Sacred Tradition with Scripture. This is NOT talking about minor traditions and disciplines such as the...

Does the day of Christ resurrection tell us to worship on Sunday?

Wrong. Acts 20:7 does say "one day" in the Greek - but it says "one day after the Sabbath" (Ἐν δὲ τῇ μιᾷ τῶν σαββάτων). In case you didn't know - the day after the Sabbath is SUNDAY.

"Anthropos" means HUMAN. So, I ask you again - is 1 Tim, 2:5 a lie - or is Jesus a Human?

Does the day of Christ resurrection tell us to worship on Sunday?

That's what I thought - a perversion of Scripture. Time for a Bible lesson . . . In Matt. 15:9, Mark 7:5-9, Jesus was speaking of the Pharisees and scribes who were living hypocritical lives and placing their traditions ABOVE the word of God and the spirit of the Law. Jesus wasn't condemning...

The Doctrine of Purgatory in Catholic Biblical Perspective

This, coming from a person who has been deceived by the online cult, aggressivechristianity.net. I challenge everybody reading this to go on that site and see for yourself what a perverted mockery of Christianity it is. While you're at it - read for yourself in the news what they've been up to...

Does the day of Christ resurrection tell us to worship on Sunday?

Claiming that Scripture condemns Tradition perverts the Word of God.

Sooooooo, is 1 Tim. 2:5 a lie when it says He is "Anthropos" (Human)??

The Doctrine of Purgatory in Catholic Biblical Perspective

You disagree with the Word of God, period - and you've been proven wrong by ME and NON-Catholics alike on this thread.

The Doctrine of Purgatory in Catholic Biblical Perspective

If you are talking about philosophical things like His omnipresence - that's silly. God can't move from Point A to Point B - because He's already there. Or the fact that He can't commit sin. YOUR foolishness limits God's ability to create a sinless human being. Not THAT'S shameful . . .

Does the day of Christ resurrection tell us to worship on Sunday?

Stick to the Bible and reject Tradition?? Where does the Bible say this?? The Canon of Scripture itself is a Tradition. The Bible puts Sacred Tradition ON PAR with Scripture (2 Thess. 2:15). Where do you get these funny ideas??

The Doctrine of Purgatory in Catholic Biblical Perspective

You ARE flesh and spirit - period. No - you don't disagree with ME - you disagree with the Word of God, which says explicitly that Jesus is HUMAN (1 Tim. 2:5). You can disagree until the cows come home but you'll STILL be wrong. By the way - you STILL haven't shown me where the Bible says that...

The Doctrine of Purgatory in Catholic Biblical Perspective

Ummmmmm - from your OWN post: ανθρωπος (Anthropos) man (human) χριστος Christ ιησους Jesus THANK YOU for finally agreeing that Jesus is human as well as God - just like 1 Tim. 2:5 says . . .
