How did the Holy Spirit draw you to Christ?

I realize now I wasn't looking for God Himself...just for God to help me fulfill my own dreams. That's where I come from. But over time God has weaned my from all things other than His glory. This is by no means my first choice...well...now it is! :)

    Calvinism?

But how many are really qualified to teach others concerning the kingdom? I mean beyond the most basic message? Didn't the Pharisees also indoctrinate those who came to them looking for the unique God? So then one must actually know Christ and have walked with Jesus to teach others IMO...

    Calvinism?

The fact remains that men create extreme doctrines based on a lack of understanding of God's ways. So then if your experience or your understanding lines up with that man-made identifier...then people hop on board now convinced that they have the truth in the matter. The fact is Jesus did die...

How did the Holy Spirit draw you to Christ?

I was 21 in a city (St. Boniface part of Winnipeg in 1980) with no friends...when I began to weep over my sins. My own heart was crying out....without any calculations on my part. I was being convicted of my sins....hounded by God. My girlfriend had left a new testament in my apartment...

    NT BOOKS, LUKE 21:36

But the issue is ....how do we get on that list? Our own say so? Our religious certainty and pride? Wouldn't the kind of humility it takes to get there be evident rather than the kind of pride that God resists? No humble person argues the case for their own humility. But a proud person...

    Calvinism?

Quite a scary thought....people won't accept the idea of a loving God.:(

    NT BOOKS, LUKE 21:36

The word "believer" is not a magic word that stops people from being misguided and foolish. The only thing that distinguishes the 10 virgins in the parable is whether they are wise or foolish. So it is that very notion that believers can't fall into the ditch....that naive notion, that gets...

    NT BOOKS, LUKE 21:36

Grace fulfiils the law. Love fulfills the law. Lawlessness has no place with God. Lawlessness is rebellion.

ONLY ONE GOSPEL ? Or Not

Are you saying that Paul didn't preach the gospel of Jesus Christ....or the kingdom of God?
  10. Episkopos

    NT BOOKS, LUKE 21:36

Grace enables us to do what is impossible for men under the law to even contemplate. Grace enables us to do the impossible.

    NT BOOKS, LUKE 21:36

Everyone here knows that grace is come and that we are no longer on our own to try obeying the law in our own strength. But it is the adoption of a man-made doctrine that denies what grace is that is in question. The law is not bad...it is good and right. The problem is the weakness of men to...

Hell is Forever - Punishment, Torment or Torture - You Would Not Cease to Exist

That is your own reasoning at word. God is not cruel. He only does what is loving and righteous. The wicked will endure a second death. That is all.

    Calvinism?

To whom much is given, more is required. Is that so unreasonable?
  14. Episkopos

    Calvinism?

As long as you understand that obedience to the faith is required of they who have had the revelation of the mystery.

    Is Remarriage after Divorce, Adultery?

    Maybe afterwards...
  16. Episkopos

    NT BOOKS, LUKE 21:36

So you think the words of Jesus are about the law? Jesus taught the gospel of the kingdom....and so did Paul. According to grace.

Fortunately....fewer and fewer and dividing the word by a little thing called dispensationalim. For the one who is open to learn and with a modicum of reading comprehension....this position is easily refuted.

Did Adam and Eve obtain salvation from God?

But this is a play on words in Hebrew. There is a word play on the "OWR" for skins....which sounds the same as "light". So it means that God has previously clothed them with His light.
